Power Rangers Super Megaforce has finally (thankfully) come to an end. Although I intend to have a seasonal review of the series out soon, Saban was quick to respond to negative reaction toward the series. During the final episode of Super Megaforce a sneak peek of Power Rangers Dino Charge was released:
Judd Lynn will replace Jonathan Tzachor as the show's executive producer. Lynn is known for fan favorite seasons Power Rangers in Space and Power Rangers Time Force. He was also the show runner for the second half of the highly praised Power Rangers RPM.
After four painful years of post-Disney era Ranger series, all of which meet the lowest common denominator of quality, Saban needs a win with Power Rangers Dino Charge. Lynn may be the man to pull it out of a rut, but I have concerns that Saban's new regime demands the franchise come under budget resulting in lower quality. The odds may be against Lynn. Time will tell.
Power Rangers Dino Charge is based on the Super Sentai masterpiece Kyoryuger. It will air early 2015.
