Blade Runner 2 still has yet to release a formal title for the sequel, however there has still been a steady trickle of news from the movie. This latest bit of news comes from the Icelandic Radio station 'RUV' when they interviewed composer Jóhann Jóhannsson. Jóhannsson revealed his involvement with the Blade Runner sequel during the show.
Jóhann Jóhannsson mentioned during the show that the decision to choose him as the composer for the film was made early on in production. Notably, Jóhann Jóhannsson composed the score for 'Sicario' and the upcoming film 'Arrival' both of which were directed by Blade Runner 2 director Denis Villeneuve. It is clear that he was chosen early due to his past work with the director.
The plot of Blade Runner 2 is currently under a tight lid of secrecy, although it is known that the movie will be set several decades after the original. The sequel will be directed by Denis Villeneuve, and the film will be written by Michael Green and Hampton Fancher. Harrison Ford will be returning for the sequel. Several notable cast members that will star alongside Ford are Dave Bautista and Jared Leto
