Hi all, well I was wondering what you think about all the worms we have seen appear in the trailer: We have this little parasite in the eye of Holloway This big shoves into the arm of one of the infected And this huge worm that seems to be born of Shaw (a proto-chestbuster?) and we can not forget this blue tentacle But one thing that is certain is the fact that the vials should play a role in this, as a kind of incubator of parasites for creating a biological weapon. In addition to me like all these worms become this:

Maybe this is going to be like Noah's ark and we're going to se a lot of ver different creatures and or mutations. I think there's going to be more that we aren't even seeing in the trailer too.

We have worm signs, the likes which not even God has seen! There are a lot of worm like creatures indeed. I think the mass on the wall is either a sculpture, a creature in stasis, or one developed by the black goo found in the urn. Shai Hulud

Well most of the "Worms" there are probably interconnected in some way or another to be one life form, I am sure Scott is hiding a lot more than we realize in these trailers. I do not beleive the worm to be a proto chestburster as with Ridleys "Cannon" which I'm sure he will stick too the egg came before the chestburster.

@Gigeresque Yes, I think it's very possible to see different faces of mutation of a child. @Mekja-Tek Yes, indeed it is likely that the black creature is a statue, or a monster result of the contents of one of the urns. @Grindolf Yes, it is safer to Scott showed great surprises in the movie, and it is unlikely that any of the worms is a proto version of a Chestbuster. But I think the issue you worms and the urns are summarized in the following sentence: "Big things have small beginnings" by David.

I'd rather this be worms than another 'bug-hunt', catch my drift? They're more insidious and closer to Giger visions in my opinion and as mentioned here, they could be a sign of something nasty and insinuating. No more f***ing references to hives insects and bleedin' queens!

Maybe the "worm" pupates like a maggot or caterpillar, and evolves into something much nastier.

I think the pale, fleshy, worm-like creatures are an amazingly creepy and disgusting contrast to the creepy, dark, mechanical ship. The thought of the pale flesh sliding accross the dark bone-like metal of the ship is like the thought of a fork scraping someones teeth.

Aren't the cthulu creatures from lovecrafts work very wormlike? Certainly tentacley which ties into gigers work very well too

people say holloway is infected because of his eye, but Sir Ridley wouldnt exactly give a huge peice of the story away like that now would he? Is it possible that Holloway could be haluscinating, dreaming or being paranoid? Im not sure that Mr Scott would tell us he is infected! That huge worm looks ace though, wonder who it will be?
Its a robot...ash is a goddamn robot!

Maybe the 'worm' you see that seems to be locked in a room with Shaw looking through the window at it is actually just a tentacle of the now HUGE squid-type thing that comes out of her...

Biological immortality The above term was used on a thread that I have now lost. Some cells keep regenerating and in theory could last if not forever than many years. There several examples given in a wiki article. Lobster, jel;yish were mentioned. Hoever the one living organsism that was mentioned and applys to our movie was: Planarian flatworms . So the idea of worms being dormat or staying alive in the big head room now makes more sense. How it it applies to the Engineers,or xeno that would be very interesting. Seemingly it doesn't apply to humans.
