Mala'kak Pilot

i have used a 3d grafting program earlier, and i thought " hey...why not graft a 3d model of the corpse-like pilot suit and see what it would look like in the movie Prometheus" so I did, and i was surprised to find out it is exactly like the two pilot statues in that one pic, and the head they are scanning is DEFINITELY a skull, i got the measurements of the original pilot, and that skull is like 6 inches thinner, could not be a helmet, its physically impossible to wear a helmet inside of your head...lol. Thoughts? Here is a picture of exactly what a standing version would look like:

Cool picure, nice job. When you say the corpse like pilot suit, do you mean the one from the '79 alien film? I guess I'm a little confused... Did you take images from alien and prometheus and mix them together?
ALL generalizations are WRONG!

yeah, 79 version, and i just got the alein version (which u can find a 3d model of) and grafted it. and i image matched and that pic looks almost exactly the same to the result I got

Good job, but also seems very close to what we see in Prometheus

I watched alien when I was about seven back in 1981! It scared the begeezes out of me... It did however inspire all sorts of interest in alien and Giger art. I asked about where the 3d rendering images originate from simply because it sounded like you put it together using images from alien and Prometheus. I don't think that actual size of the heads from one movie to the other can be compared. I dought for some reason that when Giger designed the space jockey he intended for it to be a suit of some kind. I suspect he was simply creating a creature. I would bet that it is not until this movie that the writers decided that the SJ as we know it would actually be a suit. So trying to match up sizes prolly doesn't work from then to now. Not to any exact specs anyway.. Entertain this for a sec.. In the trailer when the jockey chair comes out of the floor, you see the blue guy which we assume is an SJ. If you compare his size and height to the chair and then go back to alien and compare the nostromo crew in space suits to the chair, you will clearly notice that either they have changed the dimensions of the chair or the blue guy is much larger than a human.
ALL generalizations are WRONG!

btw shambhala is that the guardian angel as ur pic or is that the korn Mic. Stand?

Shilliam Watner

MemberOvomorphMar-13-2012 1:14 AM
So who is the big blue humanoid looking guy we see in the trailer as the seat comes out of the floor and do these elephant head aliens and the blue guy coexist?

Mala'kak Pilot

MemberOvomorphMar-13-2012 1:19 AM

Mala'kak Pilot

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 5:12 PM
no, blue guy is engineer

Mala'kak Pilot

MemberOvomorphMar-13-2012 1:24 AM
Also, in the trailer, they are using a carbon date scanner, which most only is used to scan boned for age and DNA, and that is probably a mala'kak skull, even though ridley said it is a suit, he has done this thing before where he says something, and when its released there is a twist to what he said, also if youve seen AVP requiem, in the beggining scene, on the ship, when you look at the trophy wall, you see a pilot's skull, although the resemblance is slightly different, i think it may still be a creature of its own, not a suit

Shilliam Watner

MemberOvomorphMar-13-2012 1:24 AM
So the blue guy is just a giant humanoid pilot that we see in the trailer but the engineer is the elephant head alien? In Alien we see the elephant head alien in what I thought was a pilots chair though. Confused

Shilliam Watner

MemberOvomorphMar-13-2012 1:27 AM
Another thing is that do the blue big humaniod guys or pilots wear elephant headed helmets or suits like we see the two suits standing by Rapace in that picture?

Mala'kak Pilot

MemberOvomorphMar-13-2012 1:29 AM
so there are engineers, and the mala'kaks worship them. the ship is simply a weapon cargo ship that was weaponized by the xenomorphs. they alos dont want to hurt humans, but your practically screwing the pooch when you secretly go on a giant race of aliens ship

Mala'kak Pilot

MemberOvomorphMar-13-2012 1:32 AM
the humanoids are completely different than space jockies. im pretty sure when we go to theatres to see this they will actually be alien beings, not suits, another reason i think the carbon scanned head is not a helmet is biomechanics make it where it is pure organism, no bone, so there would be no skull like helmet, it would be fleshy

Mala'kak Pilot

MemberOvomorphMar-13-2012 1:40 AM
ok , it just got real confusing... I will sum the classification up Blue Eye Human Looking Beings: Engineers Elephant suit, but most likely its own creature, not a suit: Pilots (Mala'kak) Mala'kaks worship the engineers as gods, thats why when you see the Prometheus poster, it has that giant head, the Pilots built that as tribute to the engineers.

Shilliam Watner

MemberOvomorphMar-13-2012 1:41 AM
Not unless the biomechanics helmet fossilizes.

I hope you're right @Mala'kak Pilot, it would be much better than the Space Jockeys were really bizarre and non-humanoid aliens wearing suits. But I think there is a 90% chance they are costumes. In fact to the same Scott says. If so we can only cross our fingers for a good plot and some really nasty and scary monsters. btw, my picture is a sculpture of the Species creature I found in internet. I think it's a museum dedicated to H. R. Giger in the city of Gruyères, Fribourg, Switzerland.

I believe that the writers of Prometheus have dismissed the AvP franchise all together. And as for the Giger paintings you spoke of, were they painted before of after his work on the 79 alien? Based on what I've seen, the jockey was termed the jockey when alien was created and Giger created the jockey specifically for the movie. Gigers art is not likely going to be the basis the Prometheus storyline. However, if what you say turns out to be true, I will not be dissapointed! The higherarchy you speak of sounds very interesting. Do you have any pics or links to share? I would love to read up on it!

Well I need to clarify that I only saw Alien 1 and 2 and never anything related after that. Never saw AvP. Maybe this is why I am not brushed up. If there is any literature to brush up on before the movie comes out so I can overall understand anything, I would appreciate the info links. Thanks Shilliam Watner

@Shilliam Watner To see the first of Scott Allen is more than enough. That is the true canon, Prometheus is a prequel to "The Eighth Passenger" and has nothing to do with the rest. AVP had a pretty good idea, but in practice it was not. AVP is only a crossover driven by purely commercial purposes. I enjoy this movies but they have nothing to do with the original concept. of Giger and Scott. One thing is the subjective opinion it is another reality. regards

I'm not that easily confused. I believe my brain is actually shutting down from staying up so damn late and reading this every night. Mind is wild with speculation...

Mala'kak Pilot

MemberOvomorphMar-13-2012 1:50 PM
the biomechanoid suit could have fossilized, but it would not not have the creases and cracks that lead to the brain, grown from birth, so it HAS to be a skull

Mala'kak Pilot

MemberOvomorphMar-13-2012 1:53 PM
sorry, not fan art, like a page back, its concept art,

Mala'kak Pilot

MemberOvomorphMar-13-2012 2:16 PM
heres some other pics that are really close, also some are gigers actual interpretation of the living version, and im pretty sure they have to go by his idea, because A L I E N and the pilots were started by him :) ^Those Giger ones are the closest to the grafted model And, I have considered this Picture IF the Mala'Kak Statues are just suits, and IF scott messes this up a little where the engineers ARE the pilots, here is a concept of what it would MOST LIKELY look like. VVV ^acualy that looks kinda bad-ass, but i would still be slightly dissapointed if it WAS the engineers in pilot suits, not elephant people like the melmacs on ALF...OMG...WHAT IF ALF IS A FUZZY SPACE JOCKY?!?!?!

Mala'kak Pilot

MemberOvomorphMar-13-2012 2:36 PM
BTW in the trailer, it is prbably not haywire mohawk guy throwing sum1 while impaling them with their claws, most likely an engineer if you look close, it has no hair

Mala'kak Pilot

MemberOvomorphMar-13-2012 2:50 PM
And we shouldnt have to cross our fingers, Scott evolved SCI-FI to what it is, UNLIKE THAT F*CKFACE JAMES CAMERON that ruined alien. This will be a new beginning, and if the plot is true, i can imagine a game kind of like ALIENS: Colonial Marines except you are trying to defend earth from the Derelict, this could be one of those movies that turns into good games, sequels, merchandise, and graphic novels!

Mala'kak Pilot

MemberOvomorphMar-13-2012 3:02 PM
@Nrlfetmefan, actually, the art above this post is actually from giger except the 1st and last picture, and that head was designed by giger himself, you can see it in some of his art in the GigerBar or the H.R.Giger Museum in Switzerland, either way, if you look at the interview with Scott about the movie, he says he met with giger, but he had to go to giger instead of giger meeting with him, because giger has a fear of flying on planes (I do too :| ) and they dicussed gigers plot and his art used in the film, so giger has a lot to do with the plot and scenery and art, even though most is CGI animation

Thanks for posting the art....LOVE it! Getting more and more excited every day to see what Scott will have done with this story. Can hardly contain the excitement.

The derelict wax also çompletely designed by giver, so were the inside walls, the pilot, the chair, and the engineer
