With only four episodes left of the successful Ultraman X, currently being simulcast on Crunchyroll, one of the most critically acclaimed Ultra series will finally be made available to fans through official channels.
Part of the Ultra-N Project, which sought to reimagine the Ultraman property, Ultraman Nexus is the television sequel to the 2004 movie Ultraman: The Next. Turning the Ultraman series formula on its head, Ultraman Nexus enjoyed a shorter tenure than most series at 37 episodes. However, forms of the title character have appeared in the films Ultraman Zero: Revenge of Belial and this year's Ultraman Ginga S: Showdown! Ultra 10 Warriors.
The last episode of Ultraman Nexus aired ten years ago on June 25th, 2005. In honor of the series, Ultraman Nexus will be making an appearance on next week's episode of Ultraman X (Episode 20, “Kizuna -Unite-”). Nexus's director, Yuichi Abe, will return to helm the episode.
At present you can watch Ultraman Leo, Ultraman 80, Ultraman Max, Ultraman Mebius and Ultraman X on Crunchyroll.
Currently there is no date of Ultraman Nexus's premiere on Crunchyroll. The announcement was made on Tsuburaya Productions' official Youtube. More as it comes!
