Any rumor regarding Indiana Jones 5 has the power to send the internet into a tailspin. In recent weeks, comments by Spielberg and Ford have made headlines although they were very vauge. However, a new report suggests that soon development on a fifth movie may start and soon. This development has apparently reached a point of finding a screenwriter as well.
The press tour for the newest Star Wars movie 'The Force Awakens' has also encouraged reporters to ask questions regarding what else Lucasfilm has planned due to the secrecy surrounding the newest movie. According to the report, a journalist asked Harrison Ford about the status of Indiana Jones 5.
Ford revealed that the script for Indiana Jones 5 is still in development. This is a very early stage of development which entails forging ideas for the plot. Ford detailed that the person hired to write the script would be none other then David Koepp.
This report should be taken with a grain of salt for now, but this is very encouraging news. Koepp has an extensive resume as a screenwriter for huge franchises, including 'Jurassic Park', 'Mission Impossible', and 'Spider-Man'. Notably, David Koepp helped write the screenplay for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystall Skull. So if true, this could possibly be a very encouraging sign for the franchise now that Koepp is back at the helm of writing the screenplay.
