Love him or hate him, Luc Besson is here to stay. And while the films he produces are mediocre to say the least (Taken and Nine Lives will permanently stain his legacy), his directional efforts are usually highly commendable.
His latest is the $180 million sci-fi epic Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, which now has a trailer. Based on the comic written by Pierre Christin, it stars Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne as two intergalactic explorers on a mission to discover an alien civilisation poses a threat to Earth.
Also starring Clive Owen, Rihanna, John Goodman, Rutger Hauer and Ethan Hawke, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets will be released on 21 July 2017.
