While Todd MacFarlanes plans to write and direct rebooted Spawn movie still remain in development hell, it seems the fans thirst for a big screen adaptation of everyones favorite demonic vigilante is leading some to create their own short movies featuring the character, no doubt in the hope of encouraging MacFarlane'screative juices and a studios desirability to fund such a movie.
The latest, and most impressive of such fan films comes from fans Michael Paris, Johanna Genet, Tom Maurice, Gregory Paris, J3.0, and James BKS Edjouma. Set in a supermarket, Spawn: The Recall sees our reluctant hero rescue the child of a former witch and ally from the clutches of the Violator. While the acting, as is usually the par for fan films, isn't top drawer, the directors vision, music and the special effects are astounding for such a project. Every Spawn fan shoud watch this movie!
