Sam Raimi's 2007 Spider-Man 3 didn't go down very well with fans and average moviegoers for 3 main reasons - Tobey Maguire's goth attitude when affected by the symbiote, Venom's less than ideal on-screen debut and too many super-powered characters in the movie (a total of 4 - Spider-Man, Venom, Sandman and James franco's Hobgoblin). Some fans have been turned away from the new Amazing Spider-Man 2, and X-Men: Days of Future Past for the very same reason. It seems some fans feel overwhelmed when a movie asks for their suspension of disbelief is stretched too far. Other fans feel that an ensemble cast of super-powered characters increases the on-screen action, thus making the movie more entertaining. The question is - which way will fans feel about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, currently in production. As well as the two title characters (Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, respectively), Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) are already confirmed to be included in the movie.
Now comes news from THR that Stargate: Atlantis and Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa (pictured above), whose addition to the cast has been speculated for quite some time, has finally landed the role of Aquaman. While additionally, though the portraying actors name has not been mentioned, DSH reports that The Flash will cameo in the movie, seen on a stores CCTV foiling a robbery. So far that gives Dawn of Justice, an alleged face off film being film back-to-back with its follow up The Justice League, a total of (not including Luthor) 6 superheroes, with rumor that The Green Lantern may also cameo.
