Last season there was an episode titled "Atomic Assassin". In it, he travels to eastern Europe investigating attacks on people by a creature called the Som, better known as the Wels Catfish. In his research he heard a story of an attack that, according to the source, occured in the cooling pond of the Chernobyl power plant. He even saw a photo of a Som that appeard to have two lower jaws. Could there be a giant, radioactive mutant fish prowling the waters around Chernobyl? If so, there's no hard evidence. He did catch a Som in the cooling pond:
Hoever, this specimen turned out to be half the size for its age. Looking at that and other animals affected by the fallout of the Chernobyl disaster, it seems that atomic mutations aren't as "glamorous" as Hollywood makes it out to be. But say it was. What if the Chernobyl disaster created a giant mutant catfish, perhaps one that grew too bif for its freshwater haunts and some how escaped out to see? The Wels is already a fearless and formidable predator. I imagine a mutant catfish could use it's whiskers like tentacles to pluck unlucky sailors off their ship!
It's not the most charismatic of beasts, but i think something like a catfish blown up to whale size would be awfully sacry, and could potentially give us an awesome underwater fight with Godzilla (Godzilla fought a giant lobster, nothing is too far fetched). Just something i wanted to share with you.

It would most likely become deep-fried sushi for Godzilla but it could be interesting monster if it was done right.
