Welcome to day three of DeltaFights. There really isn't anything to say except that I though Afrovenator was smaller. Also that, for the sake of time, their descriptions will be much shorter. (Note to self, do research before choosing competitors) Megaraptor Length: 26 feet Height: 7.5 Hips, 9 head Weight: 1.8 tons Weapons: 15 inch hand claw Prey: Fish, Hadrosaurs, young sauropods Habitat: River, Forest, Grassland Behavior: Megaraptor was a very opportunistic and adaptable hunter. It isn't a Dromeaosaur, but it still had a thin-yet-long crest of feathers on its head, and long feathers sticking out of the sides of its tail. It could run fairly fast, hitting around 28 mph. It likes the water, and normally fishes. It has amazing reflexes, and uses its 15 inch claw to impail and kill fish that swim down shallow rivers. It can't swim, however, and doesn't go into water more than knee deep. It is common to find them in pairs, or even in small packs. It is surprisingly smart, and can create complex attack plans. Afrovenator Length: 30 feet Height: 9 Hips, 10 Head Weight: 2 tons Weapons: 4 inch teeth, 3 inch hand claws, speed Prey: Sauropods, Fish Habitat: River, Forest Behavior: Afrovenator is a team player. They hunt in packs as large as 9 strong, but can be as little as 3. They can swim very well, and are also very fast. This is strange because of the fact that they are Megalosaurs, and they tend to be land based. Also, Afrovenator is very playful. This is another strange thing that makes it different from the other Megalosaurs. They are fiercely territorial and normally get into bloody fights. Theyhave been observed running 32 mph, and it seems like they can keep up the pace for a long time. They normally ambush their prey, and after a short struggle, will back off and let it bleed to death. The roll of the Dice is......3: River, again!!! Its a similar river to the one last time. There is a very small waterfall, large banks, and up stream, a part with water barely 3 feet deep. Fight!!!! A Megaraptor is fishing. He is in knee deep water, and his arms are poised to strike. All around him, Salmon nearly 5 feet long swim up the weak current. The Megaraptor sees, coming towards him, a female Salmon 6 feet long and she is moving slower than the rest. As she gets close, the Megaraptor leans towards her. Finally, the Megaraptor strikes. One arm shoots out and impairs the Salmon while the other arm is slower, but gets a good grip on the struggling fish. The Megaraptor brings his catch to land and then starts to cut up the still living Salmon. It is soon dead, and the Megaraptor starts to eat his large meal. Downstream, an Afrovenator is swimming. His drink had turned into a mid afternoon swim, and it is helping him cool off nicely. Then he sees a large amount of blood in the water. Something upstream must have just been killed, and he wants to see what it is. The Afrovenator gets out of the water and runs upstream until he gets to the Megaraptor. The Megaraptor senses that something is wrong and turns to face the Afrovenator. The Megaraptor hisses and flashes his large crest. The Afrovenator backs up in suprise, but soon gets over it. Then it roars. The Megaraptor sees this as a threat and lunges at the Afrovenator. He swings his arm and hits the Afrovenator in the snout, his extra long claw making a very deep gash. The Afrovenator backs up and roars in pain. Then he slams into the Megaraptor, knocking the smaller and weaker Allosaur backwards. The Megaraptor stays on his feet, but is still stumbling. The Afrovenator takes this opportunity to run in and clamp his jaws around the Megaraptor's thin neck. The Megaraptor roars in pain as the Afrovenator shakes his head around and drives his teeth deeper and deeper. The Megaraptor flails his arms around and his largest claw manages to catch the Afrovenator's chest, cutting very deep into the flesh. The Afrovenator lets go of the Megaraptor, who swings his body and hits the Afrovenator from below. The Megaraptor isn't as fast as the Afrovenator, but he is more agile and in close quarters can flank the Afrovenator. He does, and slashes at the Megalosaur's leg as he does. The Afrovenator doesn't turn, instead he swings his tail just as the Megaraptor gets init range, and hits the Allosaur dead on. The Megaraptor stumbles, and then the Afrovenator turns and slashes its side. The Megaraptor roars, and it only gets purer when the Afrovenator bites down on top of its spine. The Megaraptor tries to shake off its attacker, but the Afrovenator is the one in charge, and he shakes the Megaraptor around like a ragdoll. The Afrovenator then throws the Megaraptor into the slow moving river. It is shallow, and even though the Megaraptor can't swim and is in a panic, he manages to stand up without much difficulty. Then a Salmon slams into him, and knocks him off balance. The Afrovenator takes the opportunity to attack and slams into the Megaraptor, sending him into deeper, faster moving water. The Megaraptor tries to keep above the water, but is failing. Luckily, he hits a bend in the river and washes up onto shore. Now he is very angry at the Afrovenator. He can tell that the Megalosaur is overpowering him and overall killing him, but it doesn't mean he is going to go down without a fight. The Afrovenator jumps into the water and swims over to the Megaraptor. As he gets out of the water, the Megaraptor lunges at him, flailing his arm. He hits the Afrovenator and knocks him over. His claws keep digging into the Megalosaur's flesh, and the barrage is relentless. Even while laying on top of the Afrovenator, the Megaraptor is just hacking away at his opponent, not even letting him raise his head without being hit over and over in the face. Finally, the Megaraptor stands up, stopping his attack. Unfortunately for the Afrovenator, he has been absolutely mangled. One of his arm is practically useless after many muscles being cut. Many of his ribs are showing, and several of them have deep cuts. The Afrovenator can barely roll over, and his leg has many deep gashes that have weakened it almost beyond use. The Afrovenator still manages to stand up. In the attack, he had lost a lot of blood, and he is bleeding extremely heavily. The Afrovenator looks at the Megaraptor, then gives a long, loud cry. The Megaraptor is confused at first, but he soon finds out what the Afrovenator did. 6 other Afrovenators come from out of the forest and go to the Megaraptor's enemy. The Megaraptor just runs. He knows that the Afrovenators could easily catch him, especially because he is tired, but when he looks over his shoulder, he sees that the Afrovenator he had just fought it protecting him from the others. He gives a loud growl of respect for the Afrovenator, and then runs off. Winner...... Megaraptor!!!! Afrovenator had many advantages, but when the Megaraptor went into ballistic chopping mode, the Afrovenator couldn't do much, and was quickly losing. The only way it could live is by calling for help, but it is still alive, and keeps the Megaraptor alive too.

Good fight. I don't like either fighter a whole lot, they're kinda just other dinosaurs to me, but it was a good fight. Good ending.

Thanks. I figured having both the Megaraptor and the Afrovenator live would be good.

Megaraptor's a cool dino. Too bad there's not much art of it and it's also a shame that it experienced a Giganotosaurus-like drop in fame.
