Why the Star Wars Fandom Sucks

The Star Wars fanbase; you'll never find a more wretched hive of s*** and villainy. But why? What makes this fandom so bad? As most of you know, most of the toxic fanboys are the hardcore fans of a franchise. And while it's fine to enjoy all aspects of SW, some of the hardcore fans are willing to go to war over this f*cking franchise.

The Star Wars fanbase has openly attacked people involved in the franchise's movies that they dislike. The first example of this is when they attacked George Lucas after the horrible, horrible prequels. You're probably calling me a big fat hypocrite because I hate the PT and Lucas. But does that mean I would attack him? Hell no. But it did stop Lucas from producing more movies for the series. They also attacked Jake Lloyd and Hayden Christensen for their terrible performances as Anakin Skywalker, with the latter quitting acting.

Sadly, that was not the last we saw of this cancer. When Daisy Ridley spoke out on social media, she was harassed by the SW fanbase to a point so bad that she deleted her Instagram account. The same trend followed with Kelly Marie Tran facing insults for her poorly-written character, Rose, in The Last Jedi. She deleted all her Instagram posts. The fanbase also attacked Kathleen Kennedy when the Instagram account for Star Wars wished her a happy birthday.

This fanbase is also infamous for their obnoxious immaturity. On change.org, a petition was started to remove TLJ from canon. I don't like the movie, but starting a petition to remove a movie's events from a fictional universe is simply stupid.

The SW fandom is also divided into different sub-groups of religious fanatics. Said groups only like certain parts of the franchise like the OT, ST, PT, and EU. This is similar to the terrible Pokemon fanbase, where some fans only like one generation and blindly hate the rest. The SW fanbase is like this as well. Yes, it's fine if you only like the OT, but you shouldn't blindly hate on the other areas of the series and attack the people who like what you dislike. As one comment on YouTube said, nobody hates Star Wars as much as Star Wars fans.

I see your points but it's not the fandom, it's a bunch of very vocal losers but all fandoms have them: Marvel trolls who insulted Joss Whedon or DCEU trolls who sent death threats to critics.

I know a lot of SW fans that are good people. There's a lot of sane and nice Star Wars stans, so don't generalise.
