What if Thor Forged Stormbreaker During Ragnarok?

In Thor: Ragnarok, one of the most important scenes was Hela shattering Mjolnir, Thor's hammer. It is not until Infinity War that he gets a new weapon, but what if Thor took a detour to Nidavellir before fighting Hela?

This alternate plot begins with Thor, Banner, and Valkyrie escaping Sakaar. Instead of returning to Asgard, they go to Nidavellir. The ship they took from the Grandmaster would play the same role as Rocket's pod. Thor would try to restart the forge, but fail, like in IW. Instead of Groot using his arm to make Stormbreaker's handle, Valkyrie would restart the forge, making Stormbreaker completely metal, although she would become incapacitated. However, the power of the axe would revitalise both of the Asgardians, and they would use the power of the Bifrost to return to Asgard.

With Stormbreaker, Thor would decimate Hela's forces and he would walk away with both of his eyes. Ragnarok would not occur, and the Asgardians would remain on their planet. Loki and Korg would still return to Asgard, and Thanos would come to the planet for the Tesseract. Things would play out similarly to the opening of Infinity War.

The Guardians of the Galaxy would find Thor in space. But with Thor already possessing Stormbreaker, they would travel as one group to Knowhere. Thanos would still capture Gamora, leaving Star-Lord, Drax, Thor, Rocket, Groot, and Mantis to meet up with Nebula on Titan.

Upon their arrival, Thor would have a reunion with Tony Stark, while Peter Parker would geek out seeing two of his idols face to face. A larger group would be prepared to fight Thanos on Titan. The Battle of Wakanda would be more destructive, with the Avengers on Earth slowly falling back.

Back on Titan, the battle would be much easier for the heroes, but Star-Lord would still lash out upon hearing of Gamora's death. When Thanos throws a moon at them, Thor would use Stormbreaker's ability to summon the Bifrost to transport himself, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Star-Lord, Drax, Mantis, Rocket, Groot, and Nebula to Wakanda.

With everyone fighting as one force, the Outriders and Black Order would be completely annihilated just before Thanos' arrival.

However, with everyone fighting as one force, Thanos would be overwhelmed and defeated, with Scarlet Witch destroying all the Infinity Stones except the Mind Stone, which would still be in Vision's forehead. There would still be tension between Iron Man and Captain America, but Doctor Strange would help mediate their relationship.

The Avengers would become a team once more, and the Sokovia Accords would be repealed. In short, it would be a much happier ending than what we got in Avengers: Infinity War.
