Will Godzilla: Resurgence or Shin Gojira be as good as the originals, or go "down the drain"?

In my opinion it depends, we were given two teasers; one with a 40-50 sec teaser, and the official design. They promised us this would be the scariest Godzilla, and so far the scariest was GMK's Godzilla. My first thought when I saw the teaser design I thought, "What is this?". And to be honest, it looks good, although it looks exagerated. I was just stumped what I should say, as this surprised me and just... well, kinda disapointing. It actually does look cool in some ways, and I'll have to see the full body of this new Godzilla before I actually make my final thoughts (right now I'm just stumped on what to say). But for me as I examined and looked over the design more, I would recommend if they would change the eyes in some way as it looks goofy the way it is now.
Now, for the teaser trailer, I thought it was okay although it just didn't work well as it gave a Godzilla movie a found footage tone (which I hope won't happen in the final film). I'll admit it's a good approach and an interseting idea to start off. I wasn't necessarily excpecting much since they still have half a year away before finishing up. I was surprised when this was released and really pumped, but I feel like that they need to fix some things in the film effects wise and etc. OR make the effects more appealing and cool (unlike the live action Attack on Titan).
I wish TOHO for the best and really hope they don't screw this up. I really enjoy Godzilla, and I'm sure I'll enjoy this one as well, as long as it's not like the Attack on Titan movie effects wise. Final thoughts, I think this is a good start, but like I said before, a little disapointment and I really hope this works out well.
Let me know what you guys think of the teasers so far, your thoughts and how you think this could work and etc.
