True American Godzilla
MemberMothra LarvaeJun-10-2014 2:35 PMPlease note, I still haven't seen the movie yet, but have read the movie novelization. Below is my first 2014 Godzilla fan story attempt. In this case it's the American Godzilla (seen from the film) meeting the Japanese Counterpart (from Final Wars). The story is told from the Japanese Gojira's point of view, I treid to make the battle as true to the two of them as possible. This is my first fan writing attempt at the 2014 American Godzilla, plus my first overall Godzilla fan writting attempt. For those that have seen the 2014 Godzilla, did I capture him well?
Note, some think this 2014 American Godzilla is fat. To me, it's all muscle so this Godzilla is "buff".
(2014) American Godzilla--vs--Japanese Gojira (Final Wars version)
BY: TRUE AMERICAN GODZILLA
The Final Wars Gojira, or Gojira for short, entered the open field of the deserted island. He had heard of a new Godzilla that not only lived in the United States of America, but also wasn't born from the 1954 Japanese Gojira. In fact it was a part of an ancient species far older than his species. He remained skeptical for good reason. The last American monster to challenge him was a wannabe called Zilla. He did feel bad at not having faced the stronger one called Zilla Jr; at least he had the attitude of a Gojira. Gojira, in a loud roar one day, upon hearing news of this "New Godzilla", that if translated to human said "New Godzilla, come and face me on Monster Island located in the Pacific Ocean! I say you're
not worthy of the name King of Monsters and thus dare you to defeat me and reclaim your title!"
Gojira just was beginning to wonder how long he'd have to wait until he heard the 'BOOM' of a giant monster approaching. Once the newcomer had rounded the mountain, Gojira's jaw dropped. He was well use to monsters bigger than he was, but he had never seen any Gojira-like monsters this impressive. Standing at 355' from his collumn shaped legs to his Gojira-like head, the American Godzilla was very buff. His big build, masculine chest, long tail, and even his arms screamed
power. If that weren't bad enough, this Godzilla had a thick layer of armor all over its body. Noticably, this one had gills on the neck... something no Gojira has ever really had. The spines along its back were curved points, like a mix of traditional Gojira spines but with a splash of American Zilla spines. This Godzilla had a dark gray to black top and side, with a tan-brown underbelly and fierce yellow eyes.
Gojira was a good judge of how tough a monster was simply by looking at it. With all that tough armor, a melee fight wouldn't be advisable. With the exception for the gills or the head, Gojira couldn't see any spot his own melee attacks could penetrate. Sure, Gojira had his fast regeneration instead of tough armor to aid in his defense... but that wouldn't stop him from feeling the pain from those hits. However, Gojira had another attack plan in mind.
When Godzilla motioned for him to go first, Gojira spiraled around to charge his Atomic Breath to the "Red" status. To ensure his rival's tough armor would be breached, Gojira risked an overload by holding the breath until the last possible moment. He aimed at the American Godzilla and fired a massive Red Atomic Ball that, upon hitting the opponent, created a nuclear explosion so big and powerful that it was 2x as powerful as the Atomic Bombs used by Americans in the 50s.
After waiting a few minutes, letting the blast wave and most of the dust settle, Gojira started a victory roar. However, he was interrupted by a different roar. It was Gojira-like, but it was so long of a roar and filled with such rage that even he, the Final Wars Gojira, was scared. Gojira turned, once the last bits of the dust settled, and was stunned to see the American Godzilla stand upright... still alive. Gojira was still breathing hard after that big blast, his minor injuries from the overload having been healed thanks to the regeneration, but had sacrificed his entire Atomic reserves to put that huge blast into it.
The American Godzilla turned to the side slightly, showing a darkened blast mark on his right side. "So", Gojira thought, "he turned at the last minute to avoid getting hit at the head, and still I don't see any damage to that armor!" The American Godzilla had an expression that read "That's it? I was expecting more."
The American Godzilla charged its Japanese counterpart, at a speed slightly greater than Gojira's own foot speed. Gojira and Godzilla clashed in an epic melee bout. Each one was evenly matched, making blow and counterblow to each other. Each counterblow by Godzilla however further bruised Gojira's limbs, and his regeneration was still being used to repair the broken bones.
One thing Gojira didn't expect, was how smart this American Godzilla was. For suddenly he let himself get damaged at his left side gills, which confused and distracted Gojira long enough to be tripped with a tail swipe. Before Gojira could move, Godzilla slammed his mighty foot full force on Goira's right leg. The bones in the leg were pulverized by the impact, and because Godzilla's right leg was still standing on his leg, the regeneration couldn't accurately go in and do repairs.
Godzilla then slammed his left leg towards Gojira's chest. Gojira caught the leg and using all of his remaining strength kept the leg from moving. The American Godzilla drew in a huge bit of breath, electricity and a blue glow traveled up the American Godzilla's spine all the way to the mouth. The electricity ignited the super heated ionized gas and a great Atomic Ray was shoot right at Gojira's head! Gojira moved all of his regeneration cells to the head, but the heat was so great that his regeneration couldn't take it. For some reason, the blast was just to the right of the brain, sparing his life.
All of a sudden the pressure on his arms and legs were removed. Gojira opened his eyes and saw they the American Godzilla had backed off of him. This time, the expression he had was "That was an honorable battle. You are a worthy Gojira..." he offered his claw to Gojira "...friend?" Gojira was surprised, for he the Japanese Gojira was determined to kill the American monster, thinking it would be another impostor/pretender like Zilla.
Gojira considered it, then took it as he said "Sure thing..." as he was pulled upright, "...my friend". The two left together, each sharing the stories of their adventures from before; and how proud the Japanese Gojira felt at "passing the torch" to an American born counterpart that truly had the spirit of the "King of Monsters."

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-10-2014 4:00 PM@GOJIRA2K, GODZILLA 2014 RULES, and CATZILLA: I'm glad you all like my story, even with its grammer errors. I had hoped I captured the habits and traits of the two monsters accurately. It took me, roughly, 30 minutes or more to write it. Most of it was pondering on how the battle would go and re-wording sections of the fight. Like you, CATZILLA, I'm still trying to figure out a good plot for my stories. So far I haven't thought up a story that really stands out, but I am beginning to ponder on a new story set in the modern era, but still VERY early in the thought process.
That's why I did this story, it's short and didn't take me long to write it. People should enjoy it, provided they have seen the Final Wars Gojira and 2014 Godzilla.

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-10-2014 11:24 PMhmm...this gives me an idea. As soon of you may know, i'm a dino-fight writer over on the JW forum. Reading this, i got the idea to write some fights similar in idea to this...
Two kaiju pitted against each other in a fight to the death. If enough people like the idea, i'll take suggestions. Just an idea at the moment though :P

MemberAnguirusJun-11-2014 9:27 AMGreat job man, since Gojira 1954 was actually always a big, bad and destructive monster, it would make sense that if these were canon, Gojira 1954 would actually be part of the Godzilla 2014 species but like a subspecies as all the Gojiras could be. So LegendaryGoji is Gojirectus Permianicus( sorry im not good with making up scientic names) and Godzilla 1954 could be Gojirectus Ajapanicus for example. Final Wars Goji could be Gojirectus Megoria. You get the point.

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-11-2014 9:29 AMJust from skimming throuh the story, I can say that it is definitely not true to their respective levels of power. Just because the American Godzilla is bigger does not mean he is more powerful. I mean, outmatching FW Godzilla in strength? Almost killing him with his Atomic Breath?! Tanking the Hyper Spiral Ray!?

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-11-2014 9:46 AM@LINKZILLA: First off, NEVER USE FOUL LANGUAGE in my threads... I take offense at that! Remove that image please.
Second, as far as physical strength I tried to keep them roughly even. I doubt Gojira could take a head shot from an extremely super heated Atomic Breath... as I tried to paint the head is the "weakest" part (well, physically anyway). I did use the "Hyper Spiral Ray", only took to to the "max".
