GODZILLA HIMSELF
MemberMothra LarvaeApr-21-2014 5:12 PMin the trailer where we get a brief glimpse of the flying muto, it looks almost as big as godzilla, however, in the wondercon footage, the muto looks waayyy smaller! anyone have an explenation for this, or could there be more of these than we thought?

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-21-2014 5:30 PMThere are two Muto featured in the film. The only one that has been revealed to us via the toy line and recent leaks and news is Hokmuto, the eight-legged winged muto. A lot of people seem to confuse the two with being the same creature but I highly doubt that from what I've seen so far, concept art and whatnot. If there are more than two then I've been terribly misinformed lol.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-21-2014 5:43 PMThe muto in the airport is the winged muto (Hokmuto), however its not smaller at all. The problem is that the guy that first mentioned the images of the film didn't know about PERSPECTIVE. The muto is far away from the airport area for passengers, while Godzilla is just at its side.
Taking this in count and the scale used in the toys, Hokmuto is similar in size than Godzilla, and by any means smaller, simple as it is.
Greetings.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-21-2014 8:52 PMNope. Just look at the footage, muto is farther into the background then Godzilla, so his height isnt exactly compareable accurately because Godzilla is WAY closer to the foreground.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-21-2014 9:38 PMThat is what I tried to say. The Hokmuto (winged muto) is too far and Godzilla is too close, for a reliable comparison. We can't say that Godzilla is way larger than the muto because they are not in the same PERSPECTIVE OR DISTANCE. Toys suggest similar heights (not equal, just similar, read it well), and the image of Godzilla vs Hokmuto (winged muto) in one of the tv spots, support my claim.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-21-2014 9:44 PM@GUATEGOJIRA - You may be right. I wonder if the second muto will be larger or longer than Godzilla. I'm expecting it to be some giant queen like centipede monster similar to what we saw in the first leaked teaser from comic con. I really liked that design.

We have the right to know!!!

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-21-2014 10:01 PMPlot twist, the second Muto turns out to be Godzilla o.0. And Godzilla has to battle Godzilla in order to defend himself from himself? Baby?? What stinks of Final Fantasy writting in here?

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-22-2014 5:40 AMAt least since the extended look trailer came out we all know, that the 8 legged and the winged MUTO are two different MUTOS and not one MUTO which transforms/gets wings, because there is the scene in the trailer where you see the military man and in the background the 2 monitors with MUTO 1 (8 legged) and MUTO 2 (winged) moving on the screens.
(I know most of you know that, but I wanted to summmarize the fact for everyone who thinks there is only 1 MUTO which gets wings later in the movie)
To be honest, I don't believe that there is another third MUTO , but maybe the 8 legged MUTO is the final enemy of Godzilla, because we haven't seen very much of it yet in the trailers, also the airport scene is with the winged one (I always thought that's the 8 legged until I saw the wondercon footage).
Maybe the 8 legged MUTO will have a surprise for us in the final fight or later in the movie :-)
But there won't be more than 2.
And a Godzilla vs Godzilla would completely destroy the whole movie / story... There is only one GOD(zilla) :D

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-22-2014 5:46 AM2 MUTO, a Godzilla and a skeleton.
Technically 4 kaiju, one dead.
I believe that the Winged MUTO [Hokmuto?] is the minor threat to Godzilla, but the most persistent, seeing all the different confrontations between them.
The 8-Legged MUTO, as far as we've seen (or, rather, haven't seen), is the mysterious threat. This one, possibly female, is definitely going to surprise us all.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-22-2014 6:46 AMWas definetly joking about the Godzilla vs Godzilla thing hence the refrence to final fantasy story telling and my silly meme lol. On a side note, Hokmuto is the 8 legged, winged Muto isn't he. We don't know what the second one looks like at all. I could be wrong though because now I'm starting to remember the last trailer where they showed 2 Muto on surveillance and one was titled Muto 1 with Hokmuto on the cam and the other was Muto 2 with a flying Muto on screen. Now I'm confused T__T

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-22-2014 7:05 AMOh sorry for the Godzilla vs Godzilla thing, thought you were serious with that ^^
I summarize the facts about the MUTOs we know (please correct me if I made a mistake):
- MUTO from airport scene is called Hokmuto (since the 20 minutes presentation of Godzilla which was shown journalists in the end of february)
- Hokmuto has wings, because in the leaked wondercon footage you can cleary see it has wings, there is no doubt about it.
Maybe the 8 legged MUTO has also wings -> so it could be Hokmuto
Because in the wondercon footage it has wings, but they look a little bit smaller than on the screen of that military guy in the background from MUTO 2.
To be honest, I am also more confused now :D

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-22-2014 7:17 AMOk I think I have it:
Look at the HD Screenshot of the scene with the military guy and the 2 screens in the background:
http://www.godzilla-movies.com/media/godzilla-extended-trailer-screencap-17.jpg
MUTO 2 is not the MUTO from the airport scene (Hokmuto), it looks very different in detail (Thicker and short legs, not that long thin legs with hooves like hokmuto).
So for me it is very clear, Hokmuto is the winged one and we didn't see very much from the 8 legged yet, only the scene with the 2 screens.
