MemberOvomorphApr-04-2012 7:05 AMit is not a religion. these people sell it as religion to spread their BS more easily.
They are very strong in real property, too. And Hollywood, of course.

MemberOvomorphApr-04-2012 7:05 AMheres some of the scientology junk for ya.
"Xenu was the ruler of a Galactic Confederacy 75 million years ago, which consisted of 26 stars and 76 planets including Earth, which was then known as "Teegeeack".The planets were overpopulated, with an average population of 178 billion.
The Galactic Confederacy's civilization was comparable to our own, with aliens "walking around in clothes which looked very remarkably like the clothes they wear this very minute" and using cars, trains and boats looking exactly the same as those "circa 1950, 1960" on Earth.[
Xenu was about to be deposed from power, so he devised a plot to eliminate the excess population from his dominions. With the assistance of psychiatrists, he summoned billions of his citizens together under the pretense of income tax inspections, then paralyzed them and froze them in a mixture of alcohol and glycol to capture their souls. The kidnapped populace was loaded into spacecraft for transport to the site of extermination, the planet of Teegeeack (Earth).
The appearance of these spacecraft would later be subconsciously expressed in the design of the Douglas DC-8. When they had reached Teegeeack/Earth, the paralyzed citizens were unloaded around the bases of volcanoes across the planet.[ Hydrogen bombs were then lowered into the volcanoes and detonated simultaneously.
The now-disembodied victims' souls, which Hubbard called thetans, were blown into the air by the blast. They were captured by Xenu's forces using an "electronic ribbon" and sucked into "vacuum zones" around the world.
The hundreds of billions of captured thetans were taken to a type of cinema, where they were forced to watch a "three-D, super colossal motion picture" for thirty-six days. This implanted what Hubbard termed "various misleading data"' .
This included all world religions, with Hubbard specifically attributing Roman Catholicism and the image of the Crucifixion to the influence of Xenu. The two "implant stations" cited by Hubbard were said to have been located on Hawaii and Las Palmas in the Canary Islands.
In addition to implanting new beliefs in the thetans, the images deprived them of their sense of personal identity. When the thetans left the projection areas, they started to cluster together in groups of a few thousand, having lost the ability to differentiate between each other. Each cluster of thetans gathered into one of the few remaining bodies that survived the explosion. These became what are known as body thetans, which are said to be still clinging to and adversely affecting everyone except those Scientologists who have performed the necessary steps to remove them."
there ya go. hope that didnt kill too many brain cells.

MemberOvomorphApr-04-2012 7:14 AMScientology is NOT even a "religion".
It was made up by a now deceased failed journalist just to see how far he could go with it, and some delusional idiots bought it.
Heres a short primer for you.... Its based on a evil alien overlord named ZENU who flew rocketships that looked remarkably like DC-3's but had rocket packs in place of the prop engines!!! Not makin that sheeet up folks!!
Thanks to the tarnet, and people who had the strength to leave and run away, we know can find out all about "Scientology"... Except before, it used to cost its members hundreds of thousands of dollars for "treatments" to cleanse them of their "demons"... They refer to it as "auditing".
Is it any wonder it has always targeted celebrities??

MemberOvomorphApr-04-2012 7:19 AMThere is a big big difference between Scientology and the AA theory and an even bigger one between Tom Cruise and Erich Von Daniken !!!
Scientology has a heck of a lot in common with Religion though, both are almost 90% comprised of Complete and Utter Fabricated B.S. and wrapped within some really good ideas at that. So even though they may both smell good at times their both a Complete Dead End.

MemberDeaconApr-04-2012 7:57 AMWe can mock it and say its a joke and not Religon.
Because maybe Religon is based on the Truth and Fact.
But then how many have actually tried to read the Bible and Koran?
Lord of the Rings makes more sence to me ;)

MemberOvomorphApr-04-2012 7:59 AMActually, I don't care if what Scientology believes in, (Heck, since I am a member of a highly disliked religion, I am weary of attacks on beliefs in general.) The big issue is how Scientology treats the people in Scientology, which is the real scandal.

MemberOvomorphApr-04-2012 8:05 AMbig dave.... ive read more of the koran, both new and old test. bibles, the book of mormon, and studied some other religions such as satanism, hebrew, blah blah.
i made a habit out of studying other peoples beliefs since i am often verbally attacked for my own. so instead of constantly defending my beliefs i try and avoid talking about my own and using others religion against them :)
not in a mean way, but when they get all judgemental towards me, every religion has some lesson about not throwing stones at others.
so i like to recite one of their own lessons back at them to shut them up.
we all have the right to believe what we want, but i cant stand people who push their ideas on others who dont want to hear it.
im a libertarian.... be who you want to be but dont oppress others and take away their freedom to be who they want to be.

MemberOvomorphApr-04-2012 8:18 AMThe sad thing is that people get all involved in the Xenu myth of Scientology, when the concern should be stuff like Rehabilitation Project Force or so on.

MemberOvomorphApr-04-2012 9:06 AMY'know I'm starting to think Prometheus was just a Greek ex-college professor sitting on his butt all day drinking and smoking. Hence the fire-stealing and liver-pecking...

MemberDeaconApr-04-2012 11:44 AMWell Religious define Religon as Bible and Koran the others are just Beleafs and Myths and not actually a Religon.
So i guess they think the beleaf in a One God is Religon.
And the older beleafs from older Civilisations are nothing but lies made by Satan lol, as the Bible was after all written at the dawn of time i.e Book of Genisis. And so we are less than 6000 years old the rest is all lies.....
Well i guess if the Bible or Koran said the moon was made of cheese well thats what it would be end of debate.
What gets me is their are a lot of simularities in all beleaf systems.

MemberOvomorphApr-04-2012 11:49 AMand ya know what, the title asks..."Is Prometheus Scientology"...?... and to that, in a way I guess "Yes, it Kinda Is" !!

AdminPraetorianApr-04-2012 12:16 PMNo, it's nothing like Scientology.
I am good friends with Tory Christman. She goes by the name of ToryMagoo44 on YouTube. She was very high up in the church for 30 years and escaped out in July of 2000. The church attacked her for leaving. She is now trying to help people that have gotten out because the church goes after anyone that leaves or says anything negative. She has helped reunite families that were separated because of church policy.
You can Google her story or just talk to her directly though YouTube, feel free to ask her anything, she will usually respond and she is very open about stuff. **She isn't against the teachings of the church btw, she is against the negative aspects of it.
If you want to know about Scientology she is the one to ask. :)
Here is one of her videos: Scientology, Xenu and Debbie Cook

MemberOvomorphApr-04-2012 12:24 PMawesome...I remember walking down young street in the neighboring city, sorta, of Toronto a bunch of years back and they were recruiting people off the street and inviting them first to come in and see L Ron Hubbards' Books, think there were just two at that time. They set up a little shop along this popular downtown Toronto street and this was how they were spreading their gospel.
Svanya
AdminPraetorianApr-04-2012 12:28 PMThe church is still recruiting, but they are having a very big problems with finances because they have sued the living cr@p out of anyone who questions them, even if it's innocent as in the case of Debbie Cook. Debbie was a very high ranking member within the church and sent mail out in Dec with a few ideas, and the church attacked her.

MemberOvomorphApr-04-2012 12:31 PMThat you Svanya, as i was saying, while I might think they are full of Bunk, i respect that the beliefs are not harmful to society, even if the organization of the Church of Scientology is.

AdminPraetorianApr-04-2012 12:39 PM@Zedwarson; Np, and yes it's not the teachings per se, it's the abuses that happen within the ranks.
@Spartacus; Here is yet another link, very interesting stuff, and please just talk to Tory, she will be happy to chat.
Here is a very informative series she started to help people understand Scientology: Scientology, series. ** Again, she isn't against the church, she is against the abuses that happen within the church.
