MemberOvomorphMar-04-2012 5:43 AMI also have been wondering about why they do the creation experiments themselves and what the purpose of them is if not to try to create a perfect life form that they would want to merge there own species with. Upon this pondering I also have thought that somthing need to scare the space Jockies when it comes to our genetic make up somthing is not right with the creation of humankind in their eyes and after perhaps toying with us they would perhaps want to wipe us out all together.
I also wonder about the genetic make up of the xenomorph and wonder is it part of the genetic creation david is studying , human and space jocky for it's dna?
also humans must be part space jockey also we must have some of their dna in us already
I think the space jockies try to show the hereos in the film one of these mass creation events upon the planet this could be the scenes with the waterfall and strange disc shaped object... I wonder will it show the geneitic plans for things like dinosaurs on our own planet or did they make the dinosaur extinct perhaps even with the xenomorphs.
So they create these playgrounds of life for a purpose and the only thing that comes to mind is that they would hope to merge with their creation to evolve there own race as I would assume they reproduce asexually similar to the xenomorphs... The Xenomorphs DNA I would imagine is part space jocky and part somthing else. The architechture of the derelict explains this without saying anything I feel.
The Urns turn into the xenomorph eggs at some point so the urns are where the life is created... Where the genetic organisms they create are released... I wonder if somone will see a baby child come out of one of these..... aswell as somthing else that we have not seen properly yet... Why the human head? Perhaps this is the momment they have waited to examine us then change us further to their liking... Evolve us how they would see as an improvement to the model that has come to visit them?
So the Android will have a different part in this film we have seen treachery (ASH) and Helpfull (Bishop) so the android will not copy either of these traits in thios film.... Humans are infact showing their Space Jockey DNA by creating androids... So he will be a pivotal part and will become more embraced by the space jockies perhaps he becomes the desireable to merge with unlike thier human creation. But the Android may become confused about weather or not he wants to be human or somthing else and questions what he actually is and what he is to become if anything.
I have a feeling the SJ chair and the urns are linked so perhaps whatever sits and becomes attached to the chair transfers itself in some way to the urns or atleast in part tranfers it's genetic make up. this would correlate with the SJ;s wearing people like a suit this way they transfer their dna also into the mix and into the creation urns.
so the space jocky on the operating table is it one of the crew? thats infected or being consumed by their DNA
This is the thoughts that have sprung to my mind and paying attention to what Ridley Scott has said and the hints he has dropped wether I should pay attention to this is all up for speculation. I watched alen last night and I took alot of notice when he was talking about the Space jockies he said they would have a civilised and uncivilised ways.. Or Ordered and disorder... So expect to see 2 sides to the space jockies also.

MemberOvomorphMar-04-2012 12:17 PMI love the idea of biomechanical space suits, its slightly disappointing to find that our friend in the derelict craft was not doomed to a life of being fastened to a chair. So does anyone have any thoughts about space jockey architecture? The inside of the derelict does not look like it was assembled in any conventional way, my theory is that the space jockeys "grow" their spaceships, buildings and just about anything using crazy advanced biological nanotechnology. I actually wrote a fan script about the LV-426 colony because the anticipation of Prometheus was driving me insane, so I had to put my thoughts into a story just to keep it from dominating my mind.

MemberOvomorphMar-04-2012 12:26 PMImagine a human coming across a operational space jockey suit. Putting on a biomechanical space suit would probably be a repulsive concept to any human. I picture it opening up like a giant mouth and pulling the wearer inside with fleshy tentacles and things. Inserting catheters into your butt down your throat in your eyes, ears, nose and bloodstream, synchronizing its life support systems to your own. To a unprepared human that would be rape times 100 but thats just business as usual for a space jockey.

MemberOvomorphMar-04-2012 12:32 PMUsing the Space Jockey from Alien as reference, I think a biological organism becomes fused with biomechanical machinery. Remember Dallas' remark about the Space Jockey? "It looks like it grew out of its chair!" Maybe the Space Jockeys are the only ones who can do this, however. If a human puts on a Space Jockey suit, I don't think anything would happen at all. Maybe the contents of the ampules can alter a human's biology enough to allow a fusion between biology and machinery. June can't come too quickly for me!

MemberOvomorphMar-04-2012 12:49 PMI think the suit is integral and the parasitic nature of a suit has to be key to somthing. Consuming yet life sustaining
So thinking about shaw giving birth to somthing and the depiction of life cycle of the xeno also by Giger... I think whatever she has inside her is removed surgically and incubated to grow outside of her... This will be what becomes fused with the SJ's suit and go on to create the eggs which go on to kill the crew of alien after all shaw is eve/pandora.
I think perhaps Shaw is the stolen gift of fire.... What the SJ's implant and she carries inside holds many secrets to creation?
the giger depiction shows a female form bending over and not naturally giving birth to an egg by normal birth technique... It would also explain her running into the room bloodied to weyland. There will be conflict over this with the characters i am sure
she is also very sorry about what she does and was so wrong as it's put across in the trailer.... She makes a big mistake that is for sure...
I think the mistake is what endangers all of humankind....
Perhaps mothers natural instict plays here somwhere also trying to nail somthing down as possibilities

MemberOvomorphMar-05-2012 12:12 PMI dont think that the JS suit is designed to use an alien lifeform to the suit carrier. The original SJ was IMO just infected and burst out.
Maybe the SJ designed and made DNA bio tech, and the Xenos´ porpose is purely weaponry.
IMO an catastrophe developes and the Xenos took over by a mistake.

MemberOvomorphMar-06-2012 10:05 AMHas anyone given any thought to the (admittedly) unlikely notion that the SJ is just "a suit" in the same sense that Carter Burke was a corporate suit, or Ash for that matter, at least in the sense that they tow their "Company line" at whatever cost? Could he just be a bigger (but apparently just as vulnerable) metaphor for ourselves? I would prefer to think he was doing something either more noble or more unthinkable than we've imagined here so far, when he got chestbursted. But what if he was no more of a power player than Dallas, Kane or anyone else labelled as "expendable" by their "parent" company?

MemberOvomorphMar-06-2012 10:07 AMNope, but damn that's funny stuff man. I can just hear the regular SJ's complaining right now..."Damn that guy in the chair, those suits always get the good assignments". LOL.

MemberOvomorphMar-06-2012 10:28 AMI just find it useful myself to follow even unlikely possibilities to their logical conclusion, even if only to burn them away from the crucible of serious discussion.
