MemberOvomorph02/17/2012The original smooth domed alien.
i do not understand and always have wondered and hope someone can explain why in aliens and beyond they changed most of the aliens to rigid heads and not smooth. I don't like the rigid approach, kind of makes them more insect like.

MemberOvomorph02/17/2012for me, there is only one alien design, that would be the 1979 Giger original
smooth translucent domed skull, stainless steel looking teeth and all.
why Cameron and all the rest chose to deliberately bastardize such a
sleek / otherworldly / original design is truly disappointing to me
i will say,
that the alien "baby" in Alien Resurrection had a certain creepiness to it
other than that,
all the rest just look like really boring replicas, all subjective of course

MemberOvomorph02/17/2012hm quite a hard choice to make mine would prob be the original giger creation close second by the alien queen in aliens the only alien that i really dont like is the 'baby' in alien resurrection

MemberOvomorph02/17/2012The original, without a doubt. It is by far the creepiest of the bunch.
Its less of a warrior (as in the later films) and more of a survivor. I mean seriously what would you do if you were 'born' into a ship surrounded by Aliens who were out to get you with nets, flamethrowers etc......
My god, I am actually sympathising with the xenomorph...?

MemberOvomorph02/17/2012The original.
The others are okay too, but I prefer the original.
The 'baby' from Alien Resurrection made me laugh - and that's not a good thing.

MemberOvomorph02/18/2012The first one is without doubt the most original and truly scariest thing ive ever seen
ps the reason Cameron changed the head design was because the domes kept breaking
GRRRRRRR!!
MemberOvomorph02/18/2012Defo the original, but I do have a soft spot for the dog/bull alien from Alien 3

MemberOvomorph02/20/2012The original ALIEN design is by far my favorite, it had a nice bio mechanical look to it. With each sequel they tried to make the design more and more reptilian, which kinda ruined it.

MemberTrilobite02/20/2012The Alien Rez and AVP Aliens are the same, they used the casts from Alien Rez to save money and time.
Werthers Original
MemberOvomorph02/20/2012The Original Alien without doubt. The new born alien is by far the worst of them all

MemberOvomorph02/20/2012Films and stories aside I liked the RIDGED DOME WARRIOR- ALIEN VS. PREDATOR: REQUIEM 2007 (as it looks) and the concept of the DOG ALIEN- ALIEN 3 1992 was great (read the book). And I completely agree the worse by far is the NEWBORN ALIEN- ALIEN RESURRECTION 1997 (could have been a half decent film if it wasn't for this monstrosity, how the hell did it get onto the Betty - Stupid!!!!!.......)

MemberOvomorph02/20/2012I like the original best. Newborn from Resurrection was just a bad idea. The pictures of the aliens from AVP Requiem looked cool but I could hardly see them in the movie - too dark. I doubt better lighting would have helped that one much though.

MemberOvomorph02/20/2012The original beast, man! Cameron's 'queen' ain't bad.
Not_my_intention
MemberOvomorph02/21/2012the original and Camerons are practically the same, the only BIG difference is the dome, and that was because it would break, and that ridge design was on the original, it was just covered by the dome. as for my favorite alien i would have to go with the unused alien concept by giger for alien 3 as i talked about in my other thread about it. by far the best, even better then the original, even he says the old one was not as good, shame they did not use it :(
