The sequel which is known to star Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson, Gabriel Chavarria, Steve Zahn (as a new ape) and the young actress Amiah Miller has been co-written by director Reeves and screenwriter Mark Bomback. Unfortunately the name of the movie has not yet officially benn announced, although some news outlets are calling the movie War of/for the Planet of the Apes. This title was first put forward by Collider in an article (linked HERE) that claimed the title had been revealed through unnamed sources, though in the interviews included within the article director Reeves makes no mention of the movies title being War of/for the... Furthermore neither 20th Century Fox, the director, or any of the cast nor the crew have confirmed this to be the title of the movie. So far, from what we here at Scified can ascertain, is that the movie is to be called simply "Planet of the Apes", as this is what was seen on display at this years licensing expo in Las Vegas, and is the name being using by the movies official Twitter account - @ApesMovies. It is likely that we will know whether or not Collider's "sources" were truthful or not when the films press release is unveiled detailing the movies title, cast, crew and synopsis, which in all likelyhood should be sometime soon.
