After the very public humilation of the Sony Pictures Entertainment Hack that led to the inevitable sacking of Amy Pascal from her position as the studios chairperson it seems as though Sony are eager to make headlines with a whole barrage of new movies said to be in development. This has led to some producers as labelling the devlopment of possible movies and/or franchises as being "very active", as they did recently in regards to a sequel to last years remake of Paul Verhoevens 1987 science fiction cult classic RoboCop. Now producers at Sony Pictures are using the same turn of phrase in relation to a possible new trilogy of Men in Black movies.
Reportedly, this new trilogy will not star Will Smith as agent J, and likely will not star Tommy Lee Jones as agent K, but is being developed as a trilogy by producers Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald.
