The third movie in 20th Century Fox's Planet of the Apes reboot saga, which is scheduled to open in theatres July 14th, 2017, is still being labelled by some news outlets as "War of the Planet of the Apes" despite no official confirmation on that title, and licensing material shown at this years licensing expo in Las Vegas showing the movies title to instead be "Planet of the Apes". Whether or not this means the movie will be a remake of the 1968 original remains to be seen, though with Andy Serkis onboard to once again play alpha ape Caesar we suspect the movie will instead be a possible final act in that characters story.
Planet of the Apes is hoping to begin principal photography this October in Vancouver, Canada and has already begun the casting process with the first member of the cast, other than Serkis, being announced as Gabriel Chavarria (pictured), soon to be seen in the movie Low Riders. Chavarria's role is said to be one of two lead human characters.
