After an almost six month long wait the story based Cold, Cold Heart DLC has finally been released for Warner Bros. Montreal's Batman: Arkham Origins. The DLC, now available to download for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC owners of the game is free to Arkham Origins season pass holders, or £7.99 (or equivalent) to non-season pass holders. The DLC tells of Bruce Wayne/Batman's first encounter (within the Arkham universe) with the tragic super villain Victor Fries AKA Mr. Freeze, whom last appeared in Batman: Arkham City as one of the games most challenging and most rrewarding boss fights.
To help the caped crusader defrost this threat (sorry), he will wear the much publicized XE (Extreme Environment) batsuit, which is fitted with thermal elements.
Although the new suit does look excessively bulky compared to Master Waynes limber frame, it does remind us of the suit worn in the comic-book story "Night of the Owls".
Unlike most villains Victor is out to find a cure for his terminally ill wife Nora, whom he has placed in cryogenic stasis until he can find a cure.
