Ok,so when i was banned, the Dino forums got hit with a giant l (loss).I was one of the people who kept the Dino forums alive and other crap.Btw im Kamoebas V.6 or Ganimes V.8.EDB stands for Epic Dinosaur Battles, this is the 5th battle of the 2nd Season.

Information about Velociraptor:

Velociraptor is a carnivorous dinosaur which lived during the Cretaceous Period—around 75 million years ago. This species of dinosaur was first discovered by Peter Kaisen in the Gobi Desert on August 11th, 1923. A year later, it was given the name Velociraptor. This name combines the Latin word “Velox”, which means swift and the Latin word “Raptor” which means robber.

While this dinosaur has received a lot of attention because it is prominently featured in the Jurassic Park series of movies, scientists believe that the ones in the movie bear little resemblance to those which actually lived in real life. The dinosaurs depicted in these movie were actually based on Deinonychus and not true Velociraptors. In real life, they were only about the size of a turkey and had feathers, and weren’t the man-sized reptilian dinosaurs they were depicted in the film. The average Velociraptor weighed approximately 30 pounds and stood a little bit over 3 feet tall.

Another interesting fact about this dinosaur is that it isn’t believed to have been as fast as it was portrayed in the Jurassic Park films. In fact, most scientists believe that these dinosaurs could run at a top speed of about 40 miles per hour. Much slower than a cheetah (60 mph) or a lion (50 mph), although it is quite a bit faster than a human at top speed (28 mph).

According to the latest research, it is believed that the Velociraptor hunted and scavenged for small animals. Its diet most likely consisted of reptiles, small mammals, insects and smaller dinosaurs. Although it is usually depicted as being an aggressive hunter in the movies, more than likely it was more of a scavenger than a hunter.

Information about the Triceratops:

The Triceratops is a quadrupedal herbivore that lived during the late Cretaceous period—or about 68 million years ago. This dinosaur was first discovered near Denver, Colorado in 1887. When it was first discovered it was believed to have been an unusual type of bison. However, it was discovered rather quickly that this wasn’t just an unusual form of bison but was actually a dinosaur. Since then, Triceratops specimens have been found all over North America. The name of this dinosaur translates into “3 horned face” from the Greek “Tri” meaning three and the word “keratops” meaning face.

It is believed that Triceratops ate mostly low growth vegetation such as ferns and shrubbery. Scientists believe that their large volume of teeth suggested that they ate large volumes of fibrous plant material each day and that these large batteries of teeth were needed to replace the ones that were damaged by wear and tear.

Currently, there are two theories which suggest what the horns of the Triceratops were used for. One theory says that this dinosaur’s horns were used to defend itself in combat against other dinosaurs—particularly the T- Rex—which is known to have been the mortal enemy of this animal. The second theory suggests that this animal’s horns served a very limited purpose in combat and was instead used during courtship rituals.

Although the word Triceratops means 3 horned face, this dinosaur actually only had 2 proper horns. The third horn was made out of soft proteins and wasn’t a proper horn. In fact, scientists aren’t really sure what the purpose of this false horn is. Another interesting fact about triceratops is that almost one third of the length of the Triceratops was its skull. A typical Triceratops was approximately 26 feet long (or 8 meters), while its skull was approximately 7 feet long (or 2.33 meters long).

The Triceratops could weigh anywhere between 6 and 12 tons. Which is about the weight of a modern diesel truck. This dinosaur measured over 10 feet in height. That is as tall as a first story building. This dinosaur has approximately 400 to 800 teeth during the course of its lifetime. However, it didn’t use all of these teeth at one time. It was constantly replacing them throughout its lifetime as it wore them out.

Let the battle begin!

In the dusty wastelands of the desert a pack of Velociraptors is hunting for prey, they are the apex predators of the specific location and are hard to kill even for the strongest of predators in the area.A herd of Triceratops is found by the pack.

The herd starts to panic and most of the Triceratops flee from the pack, except for one.It seems to be a male that lost a battle with the leader of the herd and is trying to become leader.

The pack of 4 Velociraptors rush at the Trike, and 2 of them went for the back of the Trike and the other 2 went for the head. The leader is the 1st to be killed because even if the Trike was in a struggle to get the velociraptors off it still can kill them, the leader was pushed off by the Trike and then stomped on by it.The other one that went for the head managed to eat the eye of the Trike and now the Trike cannot see that well. And with many wounds in the back it manages to kill one last Velo before finally being put out of its misery due to major blood loss, wounds in the head and critical blows. The last 2 Velos eat the trike and the herd seems to have ran off fast because they were nowhere to be seen.

Winner:Pack of Velociraptors

Reason:This was a pack, not one,the Trike can kill 2 Velos and 3 if it gets lucky, but 4 seemed to be too much,if it were only 3 raptors then maybe the outcome would have been different.
