Godzilla x Symphogear chapter 3: Mokele-mbembe vs Hibiki Tacibana

CHAPTER 3 is now here, after some hype being built up.

Jebel-barkal, Sudan. The hibernation spot for titanus Mokele-mbembe. But not for long. Deep within the monsters mind, Mokele-mbembe’s thoughts surfaced. Time to destroy once more. Seconds later, the outpost containing Mokele-mbembe rumbled, the creature waking from his slumber. All of the scientists rushed out of the facility as the mountain exploded, releasing Mokele-mbembe. Mokele-mbembe roared, opening his mouth to reveal thousands of sharp teeth. The titan looked like a sauropod with an ear-less elephant head. The monsters head had a pulsing green horn, downward pointing tusks, and fiery red eyes. Mokele-mbembe roared again, slamming his clawed hands down upon the sandy ground. Hibiki took out her gungnir relic and faced the creature. “Balwisyall nescell Gungnir tron...” With a flash of orange-yellow light, Hibiki got into a battle stance, clad in her symphogear armor. Mokele-mbembe roared, his eyes burning with prehistoric fury. Hibiki jumped into the air and rocketed towards Mokele-mbembe, her arm drawn back in a punch. “Ikutsu no yami wo, norikoeta nara!” Mokele-mbembe also drew back his massive arm, and the two fists slammed into each other, creating a massive shockwave. Rearing back, Mokele-mbembe was shocked at the strength of this little being. “Hikari no sasu yoake no sora Mirareru darou?” Using her rockets, Hibiki sped towards Mokele-mbembe and rapidly punched Mokele-mbembe in the face several times.  Mokele-mbembe grunted, backing up slightly. “Mune ni kizanda amata no omoi, Itami dake janai, Yakitsuita memoria!” Hibiki quickly slammed her foot down on Mokele-mbembe’s head, then slid down the monsters neck to Mokele-mbembe’s shoulders. Mokele-mbembe shook his body, trying to dislodge the intruder, but Hibiki held onto one of the titan’s spikes. Mokele-mbembe then decided to do what he excelled at. Burrowing. As Mokele-mbembe started to dig, Hibiki figured out what he was going to do, and jumped off as the titan dove into the sandy earth. As Mokele-mbembe disappeared within the ground, Hibiki caught her breath. Suddenly though, the earth rumbled, and with a roar of malicious intent, Mokele-mbembe erupted out of the earth. Hibiki jumped out of the way just in time, and skidded to a halt. Mokele-mbembe looked around for Hibiki, and was met with a rocket-powered punch. “Nan no tame? Dare no tame? Hon'no wa nan to itteru? Get to heart, Get to heart! Ichigeki yo tagire!” Mokele-mbembe hissed in pain, then lashed out with his trunk. Hibiki was sent flying into a chunk of rubble. Mokele-mbembe roared, slamming his claws onto the sand. Hibiki got up groggily, then picked up the massive rock she was sent flying into. Hibiki threw the rock at Mokele-mbembe so hard, when it hit, Mokele-mbembe roared in pain and shock at how much the projectile hurt him. Seconds later, Hibiki came flying in, and she slammed her piston and rocket powered drill fist onto Mokele-mbembe’s face. “Kikoeteru ka? Kokoro, tamashi! Kono uta... ! Mayoi naki kobushi ni, omosa nado yadoranai. Madada, nigiru, Tsunagu kotae! Honto no imi wo shiru tame ni, Tabiji wa tsudzuku! Kaze wa se wo osu!!!“ Mokele-mbembe’s blood spurted into the air as the drill penetrated his hide, the titan howling in pain and fury. Mokele-mbembe shook his bleeding head, and started to dig to escape. A few moments later, Mokele-mbembe had disappeared beneath the terrain. Wiping a bit of sweat off her forehead, Hibiki smiled, glad that she had protected the scientists from Mokele-mbembe.

At the S.O.N.G. headquarters, a spike of energy was detected at Antartica, alerting everyone. Though the gear users except Hibiki were told to remain at their stations, everyone couldn’t help feeling a sense of dread. But why?

Godzilla turned his head as he detected an energy spike. Where though, he thought. But when he realized it came from Antartica...his atomic blood chilled. 

Within an icy prison a titan had been confined in, six golden eyes opened. They didn’t have the strength to break free just yet, but when they did... the king of terror would rain destruction upon all.
