Are the neomorphs going to continue being relevant in future movies?

I think the neomorph will go the same way as the deacon but id say theres more chance seeing the deacon again as we should be going back to the same neighbourhood whereas the only way the neomorph will return I believe is if one stows away on an engineer ship that's returns to planet 4 and see what david has done.

I definitely believe they both should have bigger roles in the series. I love the neomorph and we just didn't get to see anything of the deacon. as u say a shame imo

I believe the Neomorph was merely an evolutionary stepping stone towards the Xeno David creates. So I don't think we'll see it again but I hope we do. It was a great creature but with the Xeno around there would be no point. The Deacon on the other hand I feel needs to be addressed. The way they did the ending of Prometheus left you questioning it's origin. We know very little about the Deacon and the Mural and how it ties in with the Xenomorph.

Indeed and the Deacon i feel was the same, they are just Plot Devices to show a Black Goo connection and Xenomorph Connection.

Sadly i dont think we will see either again as i think FOX have lost convidence with the Franchise and i expect now a ONE movie connection to Alien more simple and Shoe-horned in that skips for the most part the Journey from Paradise to Origae-6 and we get a Aftermath movie just as Alien Covenant skips the journey of David and Shaw and we get a Aftermath movie.

Then FOX will just go to give us the Xenomorph and Queen and stick to this Formula for future movies.   The Beast was Cooked and will get Cooked some more but if this makes FOX $$$$ rather than trying something different i think this is what we will get.

The Deacon and Neomorph could be explored via Comic Books though... because within the Canon of the Alien Franchise (if the Prequels remain as such) then Paradise/Planet 4, LV-223 and Origae-6 will all have something on them connected to the Xenomorph/Black Goo Pathogen and Evolution.

BigDave I don't think Fox will just half-ass it and I'm pretty cynical. Idk, we'll have to see what Fox does at this point and we have nothing to speculate on but rumours. Ridley's prequels are magnificent Lovecraftian tales and it'd be a real shame if Fox doesn't back him properly. The Deacon I feel at the very least needs to be elaborated on.

I think a lot now depends on what FOX feel has gone wrong, and if they then take into account the internet response.

I dont frequent AVPGalaxy and have not for some time, but a few months ago it appears a higher % like with Youtube Videos are against the Themes of Prometheus.

It seems on here though a lot are in favor...

I just pray FOX dont force RS to bring in a Queen as in a Organism very close to the Queen from Aliens and then a Ripley connection over the next two movies.

They appeared to brush the Engineers and Dr Shaw a bit under the Carpet because they felt they needed to get back to Alien and the Eggs and Xenomorphs...

This never made for a Movie that bettered Prometheus, i just hope they now dont take out the last remaining Prometheus connection that is David, and make it about a Face Hugger + Daniels = the First Xeno Queen and then they brush David under the Carpet and bring back Ripley connections.

BigDave I agree. I hope Awakening will rectify this and bring back more Prometheus elements cause Prometheus opened so many doors. The Xenomorph is nice and so are the original films but c'mon man lol
