where are capsules come from?

David had been working for 10 years to create the perfect organism. Those capsules (embryos) were his Magnum Opus, his greatest achievement, the culmination of all his years of research and experimentation.

i know, but that that capsule case was same as incubator capsules and same size.

yeah I agree with gerrade I don't know how he knew what kind of capsule and incubation tech covenant was using in order to make those facehugger capsules in the end especially if it took him ten years to do so

maybe in the future it's somewhat a common practice to place embryo in that style. 

From what I understood of the movie, those came from David's experiments on Shaw and that is why they are fetus sized. Sort of like how baby squidly came about, but more perfected. 

David 8 said to Captain Oram in the novelization he was waiting for "Mother" capitalized. Not a mother but Mother.

David 8 recited his access code and his name before entering the colonists chamber with no hesitation from Mother. I believe that David 8 was in contact with Mother somehow before the Covenant arrived at Paradise.

Reasoning:

The Covenant ship suffered the full blow of the neutrino burst because the sails had just been set. Tennessee's helmet picked up the transmission with Dr. Shaw but when the Covenant looked at the logs, the transmission repeated every 46 seconds but was set aside as static.

Mother cited that it was abnormal to be unable to track the source of the neutrino burst as well.

yeah big hint 'Mother'. this movie title is 'Covenant'. maybe it have serious mean. 1.i guess david8 was contract to wayland company to find alien. because that was main story source of alien1-4.

2. david8 was contract to walter. In Meet Walter trailer, there are conversation.

Female:What is your name?

Walter: Walter. We are Walter.

Good point gerrade. In the novelization (page 12), David 8 says "We are David" when touching the Michelangelo David statue in responding to Peter Weyland's inquiry in regards to his name.

I'm not sure if this is related to the Walter model saying that but the coincidence is there. Special Order 937, I believe, is imbedded in all the Weyland models as priority. 

In Alien 3 (Assembly Cut), Michael Bishop travels through sub-space (very expensive) to get to Fiorina 161 personally in a matter of hours to try and capture a specimen. Every resource at the disposal of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation was focused on gaining access to the xenomorph for research.

Lilly (Svanya), I agree. David 8 could not be totally sure he would be successful in capturing the Covenant and returning it to the surface of Paradise.

The facehugger embryos that David 8 had hidden could be seen as insurance in case he was unable to return and gain access to his works on Paradise (above window view). How could he leave his best work behind?

This image is a mystery. It shows Daniels' private room, if I'm not mistaken. But the Covenant does not land on the planet. What is it? :)

Knowing the Deleted Scene with Daniels and Jacob in the Cabin on the Lake..

That Mystery Shot.. that was never in the movie.. now most likely comes from the following.

Daniels is in her Room on the Covenant prior to them heading to the Surface, and prior to the Meeting with Oram before hand..

Daniels is in her Room, she looks out the Window at the Stars and starts to Dream of Jacob and the Cabin... the Dream Starts where the Space Backdrop changes to a view of the Cabin on a Lake..... as if she is looking out of the Covenant into space and then she imagines this view instead is from the Cabin that her and Jacob wanted to build.

Then we Flash Back to her with Jacob in their New York Apartment where they talk about the Cabin on the Lake.

I think thats how that shot fitted into the movie, either prior to her entering a memory about Jacob in New York or after...  So say the end of this Flash Back Daniels Paints a Picture in head of what the Cabin on the Lake looks like... then we pan to her looking out of that window is it changes from a view of the lake to the view of Space.

I would be willing to bet thats how that Scene unfolded.. either one of those two ways.

Which David then obtained as they clearly are the same kind of casing that David has the Face Hugger Embryos in...

Yes they never gave this much thought, it was necessary for the Plot... which means David either obtained them off Walter before the Fight... or he managed to Beat Walter in a Fight, happened to find those capsules and then think "ha ha, i ca place Face Huggers in these" and then he gets Face Hugger Embryos and swallows them, then gets into Walters Clothes and then cuts his hand off..

And catches up with the crew before they get onto the Rescue Lander

Lilly (Svanya), also, the xenomorph is described as biomechanical, see below on page 340 of the novelization.

"all the way through it's biomechanical body."

This kind of caught me off-guard because I thought we hadn't arrived at the "biomechanical" xenomorph we saw in Alien, Aliens, and Alien 3. 

I say this because the descriptions I read before the movie were of a more "organic" xenomorph and it looked that way in Alien: Covenant. Once repaired, did David 8 make modifications to himself that contributed to the development of the biomechanical breed? 

Is David 8 what we believed Walter to be in regards to the origin of the biomechanical version of the organism?

The book does describe how the Covenant is built to land on the target planet to be decommissioned.

BigDave, I still think David 8 and Mother were in contact before the sails were deployed in space immediately before the atypical energy event that crippled the Covenant. This could explain David 8's familiarity of the systems on the Covenant (embryo containment) and his preparation for it.

Certainly...  i did mention before did the Transmission actually secretly upload a new Program/Virus to MUTHUR

Or has David and MUTHUR been in Cahoots for Longer.. this seems a Flaw though... but who knows if W-Y and David are in cohesion together...

The only Logical way this works though is if RS is going to pull the Whole... MATRIX Plot on us... where unknown to us.. the AI is pulling the Strings.. using Mankind as Pawns and we dont even realize it.

One of the big problems I have with the capsules, is why would Walter have them on him? If he was going to dispose of them, then why not just dispose of them? This has led me to speculate who swallowed the capsules in the first place, because it can change the context of certain scenes. Just for instance, what if the flute playing scene was a transference of goo DNA a bit like when David put goo in the drink in Prometheus. However according to Ridley, David is supposed to have defeated Walter and cut his own hand off, but what if that is something Ridley has said to mislead us until the next movie. I think there are a number of possibilities brought up because of the regurgitating scene. Something that we do know is that David is capable of storing stuff inside him.

The other thing could be the AI...

Maybe like Matrix the AI is running the Show... Walter could have a secret embedded code that he does not know about.. a bit like the Theories of Hypnotized Special Agents.. we have seen movies where this is explored where someone is brainwashed with a command that is carried out once a Secret Word/Phrase is called out.  So Walter actually carries them without him even realizing why.

This carries a number of Plot Holes though, as it would imply some Hidden AI Agenda, running the show from Prometheus days...

And also if Walter is carrying a secret hidden Agenda he is not aware of, but David is, then why could David not have activated this and turned Walter to his Side/Agenda

@ Big Dave  I got the impression that David was trying to win over Walter but then realised that there had been aspects of Walters character that were now altered through updates. It was only be meeting Walter that David found out the extent of this. Perhaps Walters programming could permit certain actions to be over ridden providing that those actions did not clearly put a human in peril.
