Does unused mural show Shaw's fate?

MemberOvomorphMar-09-2017 1:16 AMThere has been much speculation with regards to the fate of Dr Shaw.
Some on site leaks suggest that a piece had been seen which depicted Shaw in a state of biomechanical mutation?
Does this mural show how David mutated and used Shaw to create the eggs we see in the AC trailers?

MemberFacehuggerMar-09-2017 1:28 PMI think that having her being deformed or in a state of transformation or even possibly ending up a victim of egg morphing or something similar would best serve the movie. If done correctly it would be horrific and memorable and further elevate the creepiness that the black goo, xenomorphs, alien film franchise holds....lets face it outside of the queen nothing monumental has been put to film in all of the crappy sequels or those shitty AVP spinoffs after Aliens...could be epic and ghastly and unsettling, anything that evokes those feelings would serve this film and the overall mythology best.

MemberDeaconMar-09-2017 2:30 PMMaybe.....
I think the interpetation i got from Gigers Alien Mural was that the Derelict is a living Bio-Mechanical Ship and hence why it and the Xenomorph had the same Aesthetic... hence why the Xeno hives are similar to the construction of the Derelict interior.
This Mural seemed to back that up by showing that the Ships produce something that then evolves to Eggs that the Space Jockey/Engineers Sacrifice each other for.. so as to Procreate the Xenomorph but why?
I got the impression these beings was maybe enslaved or even created to be used purely for this purpose.
HR Giger and said he felt the Derelict was Grown, and that the Egg Silo had Bio-Mechanical Bellies that was Pregnant and they produced the Eggs.
Zoomed in above these sections we can see where that Mural would have been placed..
This was a very Alien Concept and one i would LOVE for them to explore but i am not sure they will

MemberDeaconMar-09-2017 2:32 PMBut if we interpret the way you have, that is that Shaws DNA is changed to take on Xeno traits and she then produces Eggs.. i think maybe this could be something we could see being explored now.

MemberTrilobiteMar-09-2017 6:47 PMI never considered iy until now that you mentioned it. The arm/leg thing looking like it might be dropping an egg in the OP reminds me of a skinnier version of this:

MemberFacehuggerMar-09-2017 10:56 PMI mentioned it before, but I agree that there's a connection between the form of the juggernaut and the figure on the mural.

MemberFacehuggerMar-09-2017 11:40 PMGiger in turn got his inspiration for the mural from the egyptian godess Nut.
Anyhow, I agree with BigDave, would love for this utterly alien and original concept to be expanded upon. To me this somehow is the essence that made the original movie so good.

MemberPraetorianMar-10-2017 1:32 AMAgreed, it would be so incredible to see Giger's concept for the ship birthing the eggs finally realised. Weird, horrific, but darkly beautiful. Probably never happen though.
Even the filmed idea for the eggs laid out in the derelict/cavern hinted at a connection with the ship, those tendrils on the floor attached to the eggs are clearly visible. I always had the feeling that the whole process equates to an organic alien recycling factory. Nothing gets wasted, perhaps the unused eggs eventually broke down and then provided sustenance for the next batch?
Shaw 'transformed' or 'connected' in some way would be very fitting for the overall tone of the story and would be the next best thing.
Whatever fate befell Shaw, was probably very nasty, yet I'm dying to see it! ;)

MemberPraetorianMar-10-2017 1:43 AMI agree Lone.My theory of what happened to Shaw stems from her emergency's C-section.I'm thinking that something continued to grow in her from the umbilical cord, more so I think it may have began to change her.

MemberPraetorianMar-10-2017 2:01 AMYes ninXeno, you would expect some type of transformation and placental transference of material considering she has gone from barren to productive.
The Deacon appeared to have a womb attached to it's umbilical cord, which might lead us to think that it could be capable of giving birth? Of course it could have just been an alien type placenta, but it did look very womb like.
Blimey there is so much to think about and cover, it might need six more sequel-prequels! :)

MemberPraetorianMar-10-2017 2:03 AMHey, just had a thought...the Deacon is worshipped via the mural, perhaps it's because it was capable of giving birth?
New thread me thinks....

MemberOvomorphMar-10-2017 2:43 AMIt is well documented that RS was never a fan of JC's Xeno Queen. It normalised the life cycle into a familiar process, we could understand. Now RS has the opportunity to really go for it, to show us something truly Alien.
I'm sure the back and throat burst scenes will be memorable but I want to see something different, something disturbing. Something I will take from the cinema that will stay with me.
I'm not necessarily talking about gore but a process which defies logic or comprehension.

MemberFacehuggerMar-10-2017 2:52 AMBefore the engineers concept I was thinking that maybe the Space Jockey is the same as the Xeno, but in a mature form. Remember reading somewhere that in the original scripts Dan O'Bannon wrote the aliens born were violent and ferocious as younglings, but after maturing settled and became noble creatures.

MemberFacehuggerMar-10-2017 3:57 AMI'm thinking more of like she's become a bio mechanical machine that would produce the alien eggs and when they found her she's moaning or just saying help in a creepy quiet voice
