"A king has his reign then he dies. It´s inevitable"

A leadership is doomed to fail hence being overthrown, it´s inevitable. This is one of the ground themes in life.
There was an ancient race predating us humans, who advanced to a point where they stole the fire from the gods (their creators) and created in their image the engineers. Now they were on equal footings with the gods. But as all things go, their creation turned on them and only a handful survived.
Let´s say they overreacted a little.
As history is doomed to repeat itself, the engineers advanced and colonized planets and pursuited what every creature pursuits, perfection and legacy.
We humans were created and the cycle continues. Thousands of years later, we ourselves have become creators that are completely indistinguishable from a normal human being.
We are the gods now.
So at one point we seek out for answers and the perfection only to find hell. Our own creations (androids) turn on us and now are at the top of the food chain trying to pursuit their own agenda of perfection until the alien is at its peak evolutionary state, which Ash calls perfect.
The Alien is the perfect being in this universe, above all others. But even they betray each other.
A neverending story
