MemberFacehuggerFeb-21-2017 12:52 PMOK, we don't know what happened to Shaw and we know we will see David again. Maybe this is too granular but what would Shaw eat/have eaten to stay alive? David also needs to consume something to keep him going. They showed it in Prometheus. They took off in the Juggernaut and I doubt it had a commissary

MemberFacehuggerFeb-21-2017 1:04 PMI dunno...Hammerpede stew...? Once you get past the unsightliness, I am sure it was okay...
Seriously, I don't think David has to have sustenance...I believe it was something he was doing to try to be "More human".
Shaw's case might be more difficult. Soeone could deduct that she might have only had a limnited amount of food on her person before they set out so perhaps she died because of starvation.
More likely, David's sizeable knowledge of the engineer's language and ship's mechanics probably enabled him to have the ship concoct/conjure up something palatable for her.

MemberXenomorphFeb-21-2017 1:05 PMPossibly. Or they managed to salvage some stuff from the Prometheus wreckage.

MemberFacehuggerFeb-21-2017 1:33 PMDavid probably figured something out in terms of feeding her
Aorta
MemberFacehuggerFeb-21-2017 2:25 PMPerhaps the Juggernaut was kind enough to extrude a teat so she could suckle a bit of nutrient pap.

MemberDeaconFeb-22-2017 8:08 AMIts a good Question but one that i think Ridley or Fassbender answered as far as David. where they said Walter is concerned about David has he has been gone so many years without any Maintenance etc.
I would assume he some how gets by.
As for Shaw we have to assume David can somehow connect her to the Cryo-sleep Pod, how this would work who knows... as a number of tubes/pipes attached to the Engineers Pressure Suit which Shaw would not be wearing.
Unless David manages to get her one?
So many things to consider as far as how she could survive that i think we wont find out about and have to consider it a oversight.
A thing to maybe Remember is the Engineers Ships can travel to other Galaxies or else why have them listed/shown in the Orrey Room Map/Engineer Sat Nav?
I would assume their ships can thus travel vastly greater distances at vastly shorter times than Earth Ships... but how fast they go? Is unknown.
A lot depends on how far Paradise is too, and so depending on Journey Time, and if the Juggernaught maintains a Breathable Environment for Shaw would determine if she needed to be in Cryo-sleep at all.
This raises a Problem as far as if she is awake for the journey, lets say its only days or even less, then she really would be a Thorn in Davids Plans if he has any Ulterior motives.
Surely if she is not incapacitated like in Cryo-sleep she would not let David do anything against her wishes or intentions.
It would appear David could have been on Paradise for a Long time and certainly thats likely to be nearly 10 years, i think we can assume the journey is not a Long one as far as Months or Years but who knows.
This raises a problem if Engineers Ships can get to Paradise in a short period of time, as far as how come none came back to LV-223 or Earth?
Maybe the answer to that is they could not, either because there are none left, or little left or those on Paradise lack the Technology.
A final point would be indeed if they have been there for any time over say Months, what Food sources can Shaw have to feed her? Does Paradise have Food that would be suitable and not tainted.
Could she had found some Food and it was tainted that leads to her demise? So many possible things to consider.

MemberDeaconFeb-22-2017 8:10 AMYes she could maybe go to the wreckage but i think that would be a risky thing to do as she would not know the outcome of TWO threats that remain there.
I would thus doubt she went back to the Life Boat but we cant rule anything out.

MemberFacehuggerFeb-22-2017 11:29 AMA thought I had was that perhaps she went scavenging for supplies before left with David and that provided time for the Deacon to get on board the juggernaut....then David, Shaw and the Deacon left LV 223....the latter not being known to Shaw and David
BigDave
MemberDeaconFeb-22-2017 11:55 AMThats maybe possible....
But the way the movie seemed to hint was that they left before the Deacon had arrived.... some of the concept work i believe showed the Deacon on the surface looking up and the Juggernaught as it leaves?
Fassbender not to long ago did tease something when he was speaking about David and Shaw being alone.... he said "as far as we know"
Thats a nice tease... but i would doubt it would be the Deacon, i would also think it wont be a Engineer, it depends how his comment is aimed....
As far WE the viewers?
As far as DAVID and SHAW?
I think the most likely candidate would be a Worm, and we know what Worm + Black Goo means and for me everything related to how the Xeno could fit always seems to come back most logically to the Hammerpedes.
