So after playing alien isolation what made me wonder is the design difference now i know that it's because james cameron didn't want to damage the dome of the xenomorph but what if the in universe explanation wasn't that it was a different caste what if it was because they were completely different species because burke sent the jordan family to investigate A derelict because as with LV-223 there are most likely more than one derelict on LV-426 and they most likely are working off the same starting point but left to work on their own version of it, with the result being a similar outcome but different in terms of behavior, reproduction, and look. the alien was more of an opportunistic and engage's in ambush style tactics however they will not kill, the xenomorph however chooses to attack when ever it can with blitz style attacks with no regards for keeping them all alive instead picking and choosing the hosts. and on reproduction the alien morphs it's victims into eggs, where the xenomorph uses a queen. and the looks are rather self explanatory

Why is it "likely" that there was another Derelict on LV-426?

The Jorden's were sent to the same Derelict the Nostromo investigated.  The co-ordinates obtained from Ripley were used by Burke to send the Jordens.

"the alien was more of an opportunistic and engage's in ambush style tactics however they will not kill"

The Alien (ie. Nostromo creature) killed three out of its four victims (Brett, Parker and Lambert).

I say it's likely because it is most likely in similar circumstances to LV-223 and in Prometheus In the "paradise" deleted scene David states that the lv-223 had several scattered around the planetoid meaning lv-426 most likely does as well.

At any point in aliens do they say that they got the coordinates from Ripley it's been a while since I've seen it, plus when the nostromo landed on the planetoid the likelihood of Ripley getting a look at the exact coordinates seems kind of unlikely because she just wants to get home to celebrate Amanda's 12th birthday as well as it not necessarily having coordinates because according to the record it was only surveyed once by drone prior which found nothing of interest except hostile terrain, meaning it was largely put to the back of everyone's mind except for the higher-ups in Weyland-Yutani who don't want anyone to know they have in interest in the planetoid for secrecy reasons, and seeing as how the black box was destroyed the likelihood of them getting the coordinates is very unlikely

Brett was not killed by the creature the creature's hive resin did cause some sort of reaction in Brett (see eggmorphing deleted scene) and it killed Parker because it wanted to do something with Lambert because when watching that scene notice how it's attention is on Lambert then when Parker starts making noise it's attention shifts to parker because he would end up being a pain, yes he does die because in the "lone survivor" dlc for alien isolation (which was licensed by Fox, making it Canon) you find him dead but not a single trace Lambert.

They are the same species...

I have point before a number of times we need to look at the overall Agenda... and Forget the  Bio-Weapon because it never looked like a Bio-Weapon... but it could be used as such...

Got a Rat Infestation?  Bring in a Cat as a Bio-Weapon...

I we look at the XENOMORPH as being a Organism whos purpose is to Procreate... and Survive... then we can work out the differences.

Drone Alien is the first point of call.... it is produced to begin the task to set up a environment to start a colony, it has to be more stealthy because the whole future of its kind (new colony) rests on its shoulders.... the Ship also played key to how it could use it to its advantage.

Aliens we see a hive has been set up, the Warriors are created, (without me explaining how this works.. as far as no Drones) The objective is set...

*Hive Created

*Queen Created

Multiple Warriors they are acting for the greater good, just as our Military are... the Xeno's act just as a Marine or Army Platoon would.... with more of them they would be able to risk a few for the greater good...

A Drone is more like a James Bond undercover secret Agent and they have to be cautious in every action they take.

I can't remember the scene off hand. Does David mention anything about LV-426?  There are a number of ships on LV-223 because there are at least five of the 'pyramids'.

"At any point in aliens do they say that they got the coordinates from Ripley "

Where else did they get them? The co-ordinates were stored in the shuttle flight recorder.  Van Leuwen at the inquest says details on the flight recorder verified parts of Ripley's story.  Burke used them to send to Hadley and asked someone to check them out.

The Alien killed Brett in the same way it killed Parker - the front of his brain violently torn out.  The film, which shows Lambert dead, over-rides a video game, particularly a DLC that recreates parts of the film in ways that conflict with the film).

My theory would be that....

The Eggs react to Pheromones or similar released by themselves and a Hive, and maybe a Queen.

The Blue Mist, maybe also makes sure that a Face Hugger can not communicate or interact with the other Eggs based on Pheromones...

So it evolves its Embryo into a Drone...  if it could detect the Eggs then it would maybe determine a Colony is set up and would produce a Warrior instead.

The Drone then goes about and needs Genetic Material to set up a Hive... Secrete the Material to construct such...  Then it needs TWO Hosts..

One Host will be Egg Morphed to become a Queen either via Queen Face Huger... or a Organism that has no Face Huger Stage.

if the first is true.. then Dallas would be the Host for this Queen Face Huger.

They would then go and set up a Hive, and then start to produce Eggs and then when they interact with new Hosts they would build a new Hive or use the (Nostromo) and then go about to create Warriors from the Eggs.

This is the theory i think could tie it all together...but then we cant be sure which way they would show us for how these things fit in.

But if that's the case it doesn't explain the fact that a drone can make it's own hive through egg-morphing that would make the queen redundant and lost through evolution because what is not needed is ultimately discarded in favor of something better in this case egg-morphing would remain and the queen wouldn't be a thing

Egg morphing works for a drone to start a hive.  One of the eggs it creates can make a Queen.  Although a Queen can take a few days to gestate then another few to grow to full size and start laying, once it's going it can produce eggs faster than egg morphing.

Hypothetically speaking, of course.

S.M no it wasn't the front if you watch it's pharyngeal jaw goes to a side and you can live without the frontal cortex have you heard of a lobatomy and it never shows Lambert dead if I am wrong please reply with a screenshot showing Lambert dead with a scene number.

The inner jaw punches almost straight through the logo on Brett's hat.  Same way it punches into Parker's head.  It killed him too.

Ripley finds Parker and Lambert dead.  She's hanging from something just out of frame, without pants or boots, her legs dripping in blood. Scene 188 I believe.

Lamberts legs in foreground.

@Resurgence

SM had replied pretty much how i would have, and so yes the Problem with Egg Morph is needs a Host.

The Xeno would have to keep going to catch Hosts and Egg Morph them....

Having a Queen made from the Drone Egg Morph, makes sense as far as a Perfect Organism.... a Queen could then lay countless Eggs.... for the Drone to then only bring Hosts.

I think the Drone == > Queen Face Hugger Egg morph would work because the Egg Morph is way larger than the Traditional Eggs... so unless the Eggs grow Smaller as they transform the host and break them down to produce the DNA to then create the Face Huger..

A Larger Egg ==> Either a Infant Queen or a Royal Face Huger thats Larger would fit fine for me.  If we was going the Perfection route then i would say it would produce a Queen, and maybe the Queen needed Dallas to feed off or have Genetic Material to Grow.

A slightly more efficient method would be for a chestburster, once fully grown, to egg morph its former host.

Oh well, S.M you're right but it's wierd how Lambert is missing her pants and boots kinda reminds me of the theory that the alien screwed her to death with it's tail

That thread takes the scene out of context and makes a lot of unsubstantiated assumptions.

Looking at it now, i wondered why i could not have considered different species as in Different Cargo Holds, so nice call really...     should have considered this when looking at Alien Engineers ;)

thank you BigDave, I also am scared about the the fact that I predicted the Black Goo being a form of AI that breaks down organisms replacing the dna, and also there is a statement by ridley scott stating that after the alien was dropped by the crane that it healed and regrew the it's limbs, which reminded me of in alien the healing rate that we see displayed by the facehugger and I believe they stated the same was true for the adult, but in Aliens... well not so much.

Indeed....  you will have to give some more of your Predictions, as they will be interesting to read.

I will reply to your Black Goo comment on the Topic you made and replied to recently.

As far as the Regenerating Xenomorph, i found it a odd and flawed comment by RS, but he must have mentioned it for a reason... This would kind of Turn the Xenomorph into something like the Terminator T-1000 though ;)

I made a Topic a while back about how the Eggs looked like a Cabbage Patch, and then mentioned how Cabbages are kind of IMMORTAL there means of Procreation is simply that when they Die/Decompose then from the Decomposed Material they Clone themselves and more Cabbages grow in place.

If we look at RS comment in this context and so when a Xenomorph dies, it decomposes and from its remains more Eggs Grow, i think this would certainly be fitting, and make it a interesting Weapon.
