Discussing Walter

Walter could be a clone, but I doubt it.

i have not heard of that rumor....

But Ridley did hint ages ago at something Big for David... and how he becomes Whole.....

Now this was before anything about Officially he would play TWO roles... one being David and the other a Doppelganger

When then saw photos of Fassbender on set with Brown Shorter Hair...   Then recently how he would be playing Walter.

Now Ridley hinted this movie would show us how the Xeno was Bio-Mechanical...

So one theory could be that the other Fassbender.... Walter is not Totally Synthetic Like David... but a Synthetic Construct like Elden from Fire and Stone.... who gets infected with the Black Goo in that comic..

Now if Walter is also a Synthetic Construct.. so they are part Organic.... then they could maybe be Face Hugged and the result could be something Part Organic/Synthetic...

Now the Xeno does that anyway.... but what i mean is if the earlier Face Huggers do not produce Bio-Mechnoids..... and this only comes after one infects a Part Organic/Synthetic.

This actually was my Prometheus Theory before the movie came out.... i thought David 8 may be like Pinochio and want to be more Human.... he either uses the Engineers Tech or they granted him a gift.... i think him using their Tech was better... to then make him Part Synthetic/Organic...   but then ultimately the Baby Squid of Shaws infects David and this is how they was going to show the Xeno origins...

I was wrong... and knew so with the latter Trailers which showed if you was keen sighted.... Davids head on the floor with the Engineer standing up about to go into the Chair.

Now i thought the Engineer in other trailers where he is shown only by his lower half above Shaw... looked to small for a Space Jockey and so thought that was the Evolved David.. LOL

Looking at what we officially have been told and shown, and comments only by Cast Members and Production Staff and those leaked Props..... if i IGNORE The Source... dispite that information fitting here....  regardless the other more official clues have led me to maybe speculate on a few things.... (by official i am discounting the Neomorph Spore leak in part too).

What would work for the Plot, and looking at the Synopsis and how the Crew is mainly Couples..

I would certainly think we are going to see some Pregnant Females get infected.... and produce Chest Buster (well infant stage) Organisms that are part Human/Xeno and the Baby head concept from Prometheus that now has been made into Props for Alien Covenant (this does not mean it would be used).. leads to me to the above theory... as something we would see.

I would also highly speculate that Walter is a Synthetic Construct like Eden from Fire and Stone... and he is either infected with the Black Goo or a Face Huger and Produces something more Bio-Mechanical than what we saw in Prometheus.

I would assume something like these TWO events are on the Cards..

Maybe a 3rd could be to do with Shaw... but i am not too sure at the moment.... its very possible though..

I totally agree that if Walter is part human & part android, that could totally be the origins of the biomechanical traits of the Xenos.  And personally I think it's a clever way to do so.  

I wonder how the organic aliens are going to compare to the biomechanical Xenos in regards to behavior, survival ability, and the "perfect weapon" aspect.  I would think the biomech traits could only improve it.  It just makes you wonder exactly how much these traits are responsible for the creature we know today as a Xeno. 

The name Walter is pretty unusual and "old" - I can't get it out of my head that the clue is in the name itself.

How is the consciousness of Ash, Bishop, Cal, David etc formed - Could Weyland have downloaded his, for want of a better phrase, "brain pattern", could this be Walter? I'm trying to imagine the irony if he is the progeny to the Xeno we know & love.

I gather that footage filmed during Prometheus - a younger David, or indeed possibly Walter(?!) & Weyland, is being used in Covenant, which makes me wonder just how old is David?

I like your theory a lot!  But I also like the half human half android theory.  If there could be a way to combine the 2, I'd love that.  It would be so fitting that the Xeno that terrorized Weyland Industries came from an android with the consciousness or brain of Weyland himself!

Like i had theory about David 8 in Prometheus Transcending himself to something more Organic... the Pinocchio who gets his wish.. This was one theory before Prometheus came out...

The other was based on information from Weyland Viral sites about Technology they had... and Dream Sequences...

One Technology was listed as i think Synapse Stabilizer, and so another theory i had was that Weyland using this and Dream Visor was able to Transplant his consciousness into David after David had Upgraded himself as above... i.e Pinocchio.

So yes thats similar to what you put, its one theory i had before prior to Prometheus... and i think its something that could maybe be done...

Its a bit Transcendence... but dont forget Paglen worked on that Draft too, and so if Weyland Uploaded his Dreams/Personality and Memory and could upload it to a Synthetic or Clone/Replicant or Synthetic Construct... he would be Immortal

Like the movie Plot in the 6th day.
