Part 12: Horror in A Frozen Land
It has been seven months since the last you saw Tyrance and his pack, and horror has surrounded them. The food supply that Tyranak worked so hard for has dwindled to nothing, and it has been three days since the rex last ate. The pack is getting worrisome, as all the herbivores have ventured off to the southern portion of Dhahabi’ard.
Tyranak, however, is not effected by this. Mind you he is worried, gravely, but he has faith. Winter has destroyed the Golden-Land, the once beautiful trees and blossoming flowers, are now nothing but ice and hale. Tyrance, unlike his other siblings, enjoyed the snow, he viewed it as soothing to the usual heat, but he too knew it was destroying the Golden-Land.
Tyranak bellowed to Tyranoa, to which he told her that the pack will be leaving in the morning in a final chance to catch prey. Tyranoa chirped back reminding Tyranak to bring the children with him. The morning had come, and it was time for the final chance at a meal. If they fail, these rex will most likely die of starvation, few predators survive winter in the Golden-Land.
Tyranak rallied the whole pack including Tyrance and his siblings, the time had come. Tyrance and Tyrantic were more than prepared for this journey, they had been play fighting each-other daily to build up their stamina and endurance.
Tyranak, as the leader, bellowed his strongest, and with that the pack set off towards the south in a desperate journey for a meal. Unlike the herbivores, if the top predator of the Golden-Land is gone for too long, another predator will take it’s place. Luckily for these rex, they are leaving in the most treacherous time for any animal, nothing will even dare to enter the so called, “Golden-Land” at this time.
The pack trekked through the snow, going through a out-cropping, around hills, over rivers, through trenches, all snow covered. The rexes feet were frozen cold, but their size sufficed for their heat, and they were able to press forward.
Since the children had lost most of their feathers, they were getting accustomed to the new lifestyle of body-heat alone. The pack finally passed through a snow-covered passing before reaching a blockade, the rest of the path towards the south had been covered by eight fallen trees all piled up, not even these behemoths could pass through this.
Tyranak began to look around, and on the top-right he noticed a hill that, although tough, they could climb over. Tyrance bellowed to his father, explaining that it could collapse underneath their weight. Tyranak chirped back in his dinosaurian language that it wouldn’t. The pack moved towards the hill, and slowly they began to make their way up.
As they moved up the hill, Tyrani began to hear shaking beneath them, and immediately chirped to Tyranoa her mom. Tyranoa turned back in shock to see her daughter on one leg about to fall off the hill, and with her maternal instinct she instantly began to run towards her daughter. However doing this caused the entirety of the small hill to collapse.
Tyrance looked around in shock as he, Tyrantic, Tyranno, and Tyrana all fell in the opposite direction of the pack. The siblings fell a long way down before finally crashing onto a massive pile of snow. Tyrance was disillusioned, he couldn’t believe what had happened, and while covered with snow he stood up and began to bellow madly attempting to hear the pack reply.
There was no reply, and Tyrance began to look down in shock. His siblings stood up from the snow, the three were separated from Tyrani and the others, and since falling down there was no easy way up. There was only one path, and that to follow the frozen stream and pray that it leads them back.
Tyrance immediately assumed the leadership position, much to Tyrantic’s dislike, and the three of them began a trek into a frozen future.
Part 12 end.
Sorry for the long delay guys, hope you enjoy.
No, not a cliff hanger! That was really good, the idea of dinosaurs in the snow is a fun thought. Too bad these T-Rex can't have snow ball fights ;P. When is the next one coming out?
