Height: 4 feet tall. 8 feet tall when rearing.
Weight: 1000 pounds.
disadvantages: less agile, not as fast, less devastating bite.
Adavantages: bulkier?, better reach with arms, more stable when in quadruped stance.
Carcahradontosaurus.
Length: 13 feet long.
weight: 1000 pounds.
Height: 4-5 feet tall.
disadvantages: not as bulky, less stable.
advantages: more agile, faster, more devastating bite.
if these two were about to fight I would say the carchar would win, but it would be a hard fight.

As for the topic at hand, I agree with Tyrant. Carcharo was built to take on animals that were very large, and to avoid one-hit attacks. Agility wins this one.

Hmm...I believe that outcome of this battle would actually hinge on which of the animals got the luckiest bites/claw swipes in! The bear, being a mammal, is going to have a more evolved metabolism than the Carcharadontosaurus, thus granting it more staying power in a battle. However, the Carcharadontosaurus is likely going to be able to shrug off wounds that would likely result in death for a mammal thanks to its more primitive physiology! Regardless, this would be an extremely interesting combat! Thank you ever so much for presenting this engaging premise! :)

If an animal possesses "luke-warm" blood, I have a feeling that it would not possess the best of both worlds - it would be in-between both worlds. Ergo, the Carcharadontosausurs' blood would likely not have the capacity to remain oxygenated (and have the same oxygen content) as a mammal in a high-stress situation. Studies in cold-blooded animals and those that have "luke-warm" physiologies (and still have the ability to be homeothermic) do not have the same stamina as warm-blooded mammals. They burn through calories more swiftly and thus run out of steam in a shorter period of time when engaged in extremely heightened activity. With that being said, I have no doubt that the Carcharadontosaurus would be quite capable of handling any challenger foolish enough to engender its anger! :)
