Prologue to Paradise

I thought Peter would appear in Paradise as haunting flashbacks of David's mind. I feel that David in this film is going to make a critical choice and that the influence of Weyland will play a huge role.

I like the idea of the dead planet. But in my version every Engineer has become a Xenomorph, along with all native creatures bigger than a cat. Paridise has become the Xeno Home World. They created it and it destroyed them. Weyland already has a clone on Ice who has been digitally fed history and info and is awoken when news of Weyland Senior is reported dead. He tracks The Juganaut and goes after David and Shaw with the understanding that they have found Paradise.....

I REALLY like the idea of Weyland tricking himself back to life again in some way.  I'm all for seeing more of Young Weyland in whatever form. 

I also like the concept of sleeping Weyland.  Memory is linked to the subconscious.  It's possible he left his influences in David somehow. 

This is my idea:  A scene with young Weyland on his Yacht can be "saved" (for part 2) by the dream visor tech, in David's memory.  Young Peter Weyland can have "his time in the sun" as David reviews the data during the prologue.  Weyland's young mind is partially stored in David's memory banks.  It influences David's choices in subtle & major ways.  Which is why Young Weyland would appear that way in the Yacht scenes: that's how he views himself in that space.  He wishes to be young again.

Ripley spent so much time in the dark corridors of the Nostromo that she got used to the darkness and the shadows.  The Company's code name for LV-426 is Archeron: the river of pain in the Underworld of Greek Mythology.  No matter how high they set the temperatures on LV-426, it still feels cold. It's too damn far away from a sun; that's what some of the colonists think..  The environment itself is hostile.  Paradise, on the other hand, is more to Weyland's liking so he doesn't spend long discussing his future plans for LV-426 with a David.  Weyland learns he can pop up in the David collective, or in Davids still alive after a war where David/Weyland leads half the collective against himself to free himself.

Well where do i start LOL...

There is so much potential that we cant rule anything out, i wont go into my idea as well logical and good as they were, the stumbling block was Paradise.....

As far as Weyland being Alive, for me nope.. only in flash backs, or even live dreams of David, maybe David develops glitches due to the damage he suffered and Shaw may not be able to reconect him 100% correct.... so maybe we could see David having episodes of Psychoticism like how in Donnie Darko (David 8) sees and interacts with a Frank (Weyland) who is not really there...

This could be a intresting concept, as a way to involve Pearce again, other than flash back scenes.

As far as a Dead Planet goes....  this to some degree makes sense, one of the biggest problems with this movie would be the Engineers and what is left of their culture, who created them and why who ever is on Paradise has not gone back to LV 223 or Earth and if they was aware of us and the visits of Engineers in the past and our creation, then why have they not came back.  And especially if they gave the Order to destroy us, then why did they not. Or chase up why they have not heard from LV 223 in so long.

Unless they never knew about us and our creation, but they would do after David and Shaw land, and then its how do they perseve Mankind, if they want us destroyed as a mistake or abomination created without their permision, why is Mankind Alive by time of Alien Resurection?  If they do not want us destroyed, then surely they would want to visit us, which bring us to why in the Alien timeline has no Engineers come back to Earth since modern times.

These are tricky things to answer and so yes a Engineer culture and world that is in mostly ruin would go someway to explain that...

Now to touch upon some other points....

The underground catacombs, it would make sense that a advanced Race would have some kind of underground facility that would protect them at a time of any potential cataclysm.

It would also make more sense if David and Shaw found a World that is in ruin, with no signs of life, but then find their is under ground, or in stasis like the last Engineer.  This would help explain away how they can land on Paradise with the Juggernaught, because surely a Homeworld that is running to some kind of degree would not let a Alien ship land not without safety procedures... and if those on Paradise known what the Juggernaughts are they would want to comunicate with the ship before letting it land.... and if they suspect it has any Cargo would they let it land that easy?

Then again how does a advance Race suffer such a outbreak on LV 223...

Now regarding the Engineers and Humans found......

Lets face some facts..... AND THE BIGGEST FACTS....

Can they do a movie based on David and Shaw and just a new Monster and maybe the odd Engineer?

That would be bland... if they are not going to show us anything from Weyland/Earth as far as wondering what became of Prometheus, then surely a movie would have to cast more han a handful of people....

These Engineers as Ridley said have created life throughout the Galaxy, the opening scene did not have to be Earth, this shows us these Engineers seeded in the same fasion many worlds..

Surely there is a chance some of these Worlds would have evolved other Humanoid Life, and even every Human looking Races, to the degree that some Star Trek ones look very Human.

This would allow for a bigger cast, and it would open the door for a futher franchise that steers clear of the Xeno, or Earth and Weyland etc..

With news that Alien 5 is going ahead it wouldn't surprise me if Riddley winds things up on this time line. I'm pretty sure A3will be simply a cryo dream, the cryo tubes malfunction and Ripley, Hicks and Newt are kept alive but still age. This would account for the Age difference in the actors. Back to Ridley. I cant imagine he'd be overjoyed about 5 being made. And Paridise will be his final Alien movie and explain the LV426 Jockey and it's relationship with the goings on 2000 years ago on LV223

Seems that Ridley is producing A5. Maybe between Paradise and Alien 5Ridley plans to wind the whole story up in a neat package. I hope somanyway. Sounds and looks exciting.

Who knows, what seems to be the case is Ridley will be involved with Alien 5, it is not garunteed that Ripley and Hicks be a part of it, all that is known is that the ideas and concept work from Blomkamps Alien movie, was liked by Fox and they have got Ridley onboard so we can only assume that Ridley and Neil will be sitting down to thrash out a story.

Will it have Ripley? who knows and i hope not as well there lies a lot of problems, Age being one of them and we have to Assume Ripley 8 will not age that much, but with Hicks too this can not work unless its a reboot, a way to ignore Alien 3 and Alien R.

But that does not seem to be the case, the events of the new Alien movie are between Aliens and Alien 3.... how Ripley fits in unless she is cloned is beyond me....

I would assume the General idea could be the Colonal Marines Game idea and Neil Blomkamp Artwork has given them a idea based on trying to salvage what is left on LV 426 after Hadleys Hope was destroyed.

I think age could be answerd via cryo malfunction. Sulaco drifts off course, cryo malfuntion keeps them alive, but allows them to age slowly. Stretching a long bow I agree, but could be done. 

That could work.. but the only problem would be how do they explain the franchise and Alien 3...

Only ways are..

1) They managed to clone Ripley, before she got to Fury 161

2) Alien 3 was a dream... but end of Alien 5 is then followed by Alien Resurection.

3) They go for a Alternative Universe....

4) Alien 3 and Alien R may be removed as Canon

It could be that Aliens™ is discarded as well, just whatever ridleys involved in.

I like the idea of other humanoids in paradise to get more characters involved.

they could also have the starmaps cave drawing/invitation from their own planet they are investigating

I hope Ridley is not going the route to basically redo the franchise so we have a Ridley only one...

I dont think (well hope) he wont do that, if he does well he will lose some respect from my...  what he needs to also understand is the Bar thats Raised is Huge.. Alien is a Classic, Aliens a worthy sequel.... Alien 3 well in various cuts its not bad, but the same goes for Prometheus.

Ridley can kind of side step the Xeno, by going a different route with Part 2, yes there are many uncovered questions that may or may not be answered (Xeno-Engineer Explanation, what becomes of LV 223 from after Prometheus to Alien/Aliens).

But if he is getting involved in the Alien Franchise with a 5th movie, let alone trying to reboot the franchise to ignore Alien 3, yet alone Aliens.... well he has a massive task ahead of him and the chances are we would see more of a Alien 3/Prometheus than to get a Aliens, maybe its not impossible.. but what is.... is to better Alien.

Anyway maybe this discusion is maybe going a bit off Topic...

As far as the OT..

Yes something has to be done as far as intoducing more Characters, so far all we have is David and Shaw on the Engineers Ship... going to Paradise.. (or so Shaw thinks).

There was so much more the first movie was trying to show us with the Engineers, than simply creating Mankind and somehow connected to Xeno related shenanigans.

There is a whole lot of Story Holes that need to be tied up.... the major ones left now, are!

1) Why have the Engineers not come back to us, or LV 223, and if those Engineers or who ever created them on Paradise was aware of our creation and indeed ordered our destruction then why have we not seem them come back within the later Franchise.

2) Why would the company continue its vain efforts to capture the Xeno, and fail not only in Alien, Aliens but also as far as Alien Resurection set many many years in the future with what looks like the only last hope of getting their hands on such a Organism is to Clone Ripleys impregnated body.

Why go for all of that when LV 223 is surely within close distance of LV 426, and the Comic books seem to say its within the same Star System.... and as of the end of Prometheus LV 223 has a failed mission that surely the company would want to investigate and also it has many more secrets that are of greater use than a Xeno, we have Black Goo that not only could be related to our Xenos, but also has many other uses.

We have many more Engineer Ships, we have to assume thats more than 2 left even after the one David and Shaw have escaped on... 

We have many more temples and what do they hold, is each Temple a variation of something they was working on, does each one hold a different experiment?

Then we have our Hammerpedes and Deacon...

All of these need to be covered, the Comic went some way to doing so but what this did was for one connect the Predators, and show Xenos on the lose on LV 223 from LV 426 before the Sulaco had made its mission to LV 426...

We are then shown that LV 223 is thriving with life and is not destroyed by the events of Aliens...

But i feel these can be answered in time, and understand that Paradise is trying to do something different but all the clues we have so far, add up to well something that is going to leave a massive mess with everything that has been shown in Prometheus.

As our Engineers could now just be Clones and in effect as David is to Mankind, to the Engineers creators... these creators are not God, they are not nice and so we have to wonder how are they going to take to Shaw and David and then knowing about us for sure after that, why have they not come to wipe us out?

I do however ofcourse have a logical explanation for the above...

1) The Engineers on LV 223, may have created us and the Xeno etc without the knowledge of those on Paradise...

2) Those on Paradise have been led to think that we have been destroyed.

3) They simply have abandoned us, thinking arrogantly mankind without the Engineers continued intervention would never be able to evolve technologically to ever get to LV 223 or beyond.  And if they did maybe they thought the horrors on LV 223 would certainly put a stop to our plans.

And in addition to the above, this  below could be paramount!

4) The distance to Paradise is so vast, that even with Mankinds Technology after 2200 the distances to Paradise would be so vast that it would take hundreds of years to get to with the Fastest Earth Ship.

My Money is on a dream or nightmare. Ripley will awaken with Hicks and Newt beside her, snapped out of extended sleep, older around tens years after Alien's. There is no way any of the Acors could get away with playing their otiginal characters natural age. Perhaps they'll add in some form of infection within Bishop's damaged body, as in one of the Comics. This could work well with David in some way in the Prometheus univers as well. If Artificial people could get some form of infection or morphing. Both androids could handle this in different directions Bishop and David could be used as an example of exactly how virulent Xeno breeding methods and or Engineer designed dna creation can be. There could be a good Cop bad Cop scenario created with the two Artificials. How Bishop will be handled re Age will be interesting.
