Suggestions/Improvements for the Future of Godzilla-Movies Forum.

I'll go first:

The edit post button needs fixing.

There should be a spoiler tag option.

It should be made easier to post videos.

There should be a feature that lets you give yourself a rank name.

Maybe there can be monthly drawings for prizes. etc.

There maybe can be a meet and greet with members like at a dinner and a movie showing type event.

Thanks for the topic, feedback is always appreciated. The edit post functions should be fixed, I am aware of some bugs which cropped up a few weeks back. The embedding video option is being improved as well. But aside fromthose two, I'm absolutely open to suggestions!

Regarding ranking however, allowing members to rank themselves wouldn't really work, but perhaps a rank-based system for sure.

I can say that I have a teams add-on in the pipeline...

Should the rank system be based on comments or time since joining?

I just want to be able to edit posts. That is the first priority that should be taken care of is the fact we can't do that and haven't been able to for months.

I wouldn't mind if these were added. I would love the post editing option.

I'm curious how this meet and greet idea of yours might work. I've been thinking of a way to orchestrate a fan meet up in my area, but at the moment I just don't have the resources. I think MeetUp.com would be the easy idea, however I'm not yet sure what activities we might partake in.

The problem is with a meet up is that some of us live in different parts of the world. If it could be arranged, it would be pretty cool.

^Which is why it would most likely have to be meet up groups in different areas. Fans in thos specific areas could meet up.

The ability to edit posts should be resolved as of last week, if you're still experiencing trouble updating any of your posts, please PM me directly. Functional bugs should always be reported to me personally or oneof our staff so they can pass it on to me.

Also, I'd love a way to post pictures without them having to be online already.  I lack (and have no desire for) any kind of online photo database for personal pictures, so that would help a L.O.T.

The only thing i whant is the edit function, The scified rules clearly state that time and posts don't matter and everyone is the same

the reason for the videos and images is for space and other issues, scified isn't a video sharing site, and its preety easy to post them you just need a link to a video and thats it

and as for the spoiler tag, this is a site for new's meaning if you don't whant to be spoield you can avoid the new's section and topics regarding the movies

@JRR, I think they mean simply embedding videos, not hosting them. Which is possible via the Insert > Insert Video > Embed option in the text box. As for ranking, that is correct we like to view every member as equal, however we have been developing an achievment system for some time now, which members will soon be able to take part in - which could allow them to add custom titles under their profiles. It keeps everyone on an equal playing field, but also rewards those who interact more on the site. Best of both worlds.

As for signatures, I am aware of them and will be improving the signature option across all of our sites. Since I made the move last year to cut out BBcode and old markup language from our forums, the signatures will need to all be updated. So, I'm currently in the process of getting those working again.

@Gman...well as far as activities who knows where who we may end up waking up next too. Who knows it may be a match made in heaven for some^_^

As far as prizes go we can every so often have a contest to see who can submit the best artwork and  or youtube video and we all vote on it...

Also we need the option to add a poll to our threads/topics..
