Ridley Scott Interview

I hope there aren't many answers. The mystery is what makes it enticing.

As for Ridley's words, it seems that he is eager to make another one. This is absolutely the first time I feel almost certain he will direct it. All other times he spoke about it... Well, he didn't sound so enthusiastic then. This is different.

There is hope, people. Have faith, just like Dr. Shaw would! :)

It seems to basically cover what he has said before about where David and Shaw go,  and other comments before when he thought the Xeno had been done to death.

What he means by something different who knows, one thing is for sure what ever that Mural was, what ever was in those Urns had a connection Genetically to the Xeno,  how this connection is we just dont know which way.. i.e Xeno = Goo, Goo = Xeno or Something Else + Goo = Xeno or Goo + Something Else = Xeno i.e Something else being some other Organism, we see that the Fresco has a Organism that has some Xeno traits, and if it is this that is holding the Xeno Egg well its hands are very much Xeno. The Mural also has two kinds of Face Huger from some Gigers Face Huger Concepts.

I think at the end of the day, Ridley and Fox decided to tone it down and that these clues hopefully was enough to allow some answers in that yes, these Engineers and Space Jockey and the Derelict and Juggernaught are connected that these Engineers/Space Jockeys not only created us, but many things but they or a fraction of them had a habbit of messing about with something to create Bio Weapons..

They thought that these connections above would be enough to show us like "yes Engineers and Space Jockey their Ships that carry Bio Weapon Cargo are connected and their Cargo and Bio Weapon experiements both on LV 223 and LV 426 are connected.

The Deacon being the Plot Device to give us another clue so we know their is a Bio Weapon Connection between The Goings on LV 223 and what ended up on LV 426.

But they wanted to live the lines that join those dots left undone for us to draw them lines ourselves, and hopefully then thats enough to maintain some mystery and yet give us some clossure so they can then put the Xeno in the past and move on.

But what they ended up doing is well, giving us clues that do not give the answers in a straight forwards manner, and lives us more clues and mystrey that now people want to know how the Goo and Xeno exactly have a connection, did they created the Xeno with it or did the Goo come from the Xeno?  Why was the Engineers running away and why was some Engineer Cryo Pods Chest Busted..

They left clues that said it could very well be pretty obvious something chest busted out, or something burnt into them... but we as fans now want to know what did, did it happen before those Engineers ran off or after etc...

So while trying to give some clues in the hope they can move on, all they have done is given us a bone but now we want more....

Then we come to the Bio Tech, because those Engineers, the Space Jockey and there ships and hallways and suits all have a very Bio-Mech look to the Xeno and the Xeno Hives so again what is that connection..

What i mean is if on Paradise these Engineers or who ever Shaw and David find if they have same kinds of construction material and design i,e their other ships and temples all have the same Bio-Mech look as the Xeno Hives then we have to ponder how did the Xeno come from this, or how did that design material come from the xeno or what is the connection.

So maybe there is no getting away from the Xeno connection, and i do think they would have to give some clues, but i dont think Ridley wants to have anyone find a Egg and see Face Hugers popping out all over the place.... but Spaights Draft did have some of that going on and kind of gave more clues to the connection.  And you have to think Ridley must have been keen at first because well he said the Xeno was done to death after first 4 movies, but the first drafts for Prometheus was well very Xeno related.

I did speak to someone ages ago, who said they spoke to someone who had heard some comments off Ridley and well i take these someone heard of someone who heard off, comments with pinch of salt.

But they said Ridley did say a few things about the Xeno and Engineers and LV 223 in the context that this person said he said... something like "well these Engineers we saw on that moon on Prometheus they was F"!ing around with something they should not have done, taking their technology to whole new level they should have left the F£"k alone and well they paid the price.   The same as the company in Alien Franchise never learnt their lessons too, the Alien just ant something you should try and conquer just leave it the F$"k alone..

That was kinds similar as to what they said that Ridley had said...

This could be complete bullshine, but if i considered it as true, then i guess its kinda saying that these Engineers on LV 223 at somepoint started to well create or experiement with something they should not have and well they royally screwed them selves over.

Janek had pretty much said the same thing, that these Engineers was making something they should not have been doing and someone spilt it and well that was the end of them.

We can then also assume if Ridley did say the above, or similar words to that effect, that yes our Engineers created us, and most likely everything on Earth with the Goo well the stuff the Sacrificial Engineer had taken.  And its to show that nope, these Engineers purely dont just create us and create a Xeno and other Bio Weapons to wipe us out.

Nope there is more to them than this....

Could this tie in with Prometheus Myth... he stole something from the Gods, gave it to us that is Fire, we was never intended to have Fire and as a consequence he ended up having his guts ripped out every day by a Eagle for all Eternity.

Could this parallel that some of our Engineers had take the Fire (Goo) to be used in a way not intended (experiment and create Bio Weapons) and ultimately they got burnt...?

It now would be interesting to see where they go as far as David and Shaw and the key thing here is.. well how many people would be cast if its just David and Shaw, and a few Engineers or what ever...

Unless these Engineers created a whole manner of other Humanoid Races, or maybe there are Humans on Paradise... but Ridley said the place is not Paradise but a Hell and the beings they find are not benevolent... so again how many people would be cast?

Nope surely the movie may need more cast and a side plot, like we dont know how Weyland Yutani Join.... we dont know who takes over now there is no Peter or Vickers... and what of LV 223?  This place is still standing, there could be more temples, there are many more Engineer Ships and we have a Deacon and Hammerpeds on the lose and surely the Company must have visited the place and surely there must be nothing left by the time of Aliens...
