In honor of recent discoveries, i've made a match-up of two titans..

Spinosaurus

Spinosaurus is a genus of Spinosaurid from the Albian stage of the Late Cretaceous. Once thought to be a purely bipedal, double digit ton predator, New finds have shown us Spinosaurus is actually a very different creature.A semiaquatic/ semi quadrupedal lifestyle seems to be the more accurate representation of this theropod. THese adaptations helped it thrive in the swampy environment it once called home. Its diet consisted primarily of fish, though it would not hesitate to attack and overpower small to medim sized dinosaurs if the oppurtunity rose. A size estimate of ~45-53 feet in TBL' 5-8 tons in mass has been suggested for this theropod.

Deinocheirus

Deinocheirus is a genus of Ornithomimian(That's a mouthful) from the mid Cretaeous of Asia. The gigantic size of these skeletal elements has generated much speculation about the magnitude of the animal as a whole. Osmólska and Roniewicz thought it could be best compared with the Ornithomimosauria, as the structure of its arms is similar to the members of this group.Should Deinocheirus itself be a member, this would make it by far the largest ornithomimosaur, indeed, one of the largest theropods. In 2010 Greg Paul revised the previous size (11 meters, 10 tons) to a length of ten metres and a weight of two tonnes. In 2010, Phil Senter and H.J. Robins attempted to estimate the total height at the hip of Deinocheirus. By studying more completely known theropods, they found that the length of the scapula (shoulder blade), better than that of the humerus (upper arm bone), could be used to accurately predict hip height. Using the equation found over a range of theropods, Senter and Robins determined that Deinocheirus likely measured 3.3 m (11 ft) -3.6 m (12 ft) tall at the hip.

Nature doesn't deceive us; it is we who deceive ourselves.

Yes he is. I think that spinosaur would win the majority because it has a more powerful, more useful jaws also it is a predator and actually knows how to fight and knows how to hunt. And their arms will do similar damage but the spino's would be worse cause thee claws are thicker and more evolved for slashing and gripping. so I see this as being a slap fight in Wich spino would win though it would have some slashes. I can't see the deino winning since that small fragile skull will be highly vulnerable and the long, thin neck will be easy to mangle and destroy.75-25 in favor of spino.

Yeah, I'll have to go 90-10 in favor of Spinosaurus. They had similarly sized arms, Spinosaurus had a far stronger jaw, weighed a lot more and, unlike the Deinocheirus, had experience with hunting and killing.

Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-

Agreed.this is like spinosaurus vs a spinosaurus that has a much smaller head, longer neck and thinner arms. Almost a mismatch in favor the dpinosaurus.

Deinocheirus has stronger arms than Spinosaurus, not the other way around.

@ UCMP spinosaurs has the stronger arms because it uses them in combat much more often and the claws are thicker and more curved, wich means it was stronger IMO. I would post pics of them but they don't work:/

I'd say 65-35% Spino.
