Random Fight: Tyrannosaurus Rex vs ?

Tyrannosaurus Rex

The individual in this fight is an eight ton male. He's got experience, he's got a family consisting of his mate, two five ton adolescents, and three hatchlings.

Here's something new. Tyrannosaurus Rex is about to go head to head with a theropod. You won't know who it is until the fight officially begins.

Possible Opponents:

Carnotaurus

This time around, Carnotaurus is a two ton male. His pack, consisting of his mate and his sub adult daughter, are feared by all predators under five tons in weight.

Giganotosaurus

The individual today is a seven ton male. He is experienced, he hunts any herbivore he wants, and researchers have nicknamed him "Slayer."

Saurophaganax

Today's Saurophaganax is a three ton male. He's been alone all his life, and is a hardened combat veteran because of it.

Chilantaisaurus

The individual in this fight is a four ton male. He has a mate, and she's just as large as she is, and with a nest to defend, is extremely defensive.

Spinosaurus

The Spinosaurus today is a seven and a half ton male. He leaves predators alone, but is extremely aggressive during the mating season.

Carcharodontosaurus

The individual in this fight is a seven ton male. He's the only predator that's faced Slayer and won, but it was a shallow victory.

Begin!

The Tyrannosaurus is hunting. He's been out for almost an hour, and he's starting to lose hope. He knows his family will last without a meal for a week, but he doesn't want things to get desperate.

He walked past a clearing and heard ripping flesh and growling. He looked in the clearing, and a trio of Carnotaurus was eating the remains of a Gallimimus. The Tyrannosaurus kept walking. There wasn't enough meat for the battle to be worth the effort, and he knows what Carnotaurus is capable of.

A short time later, he heard a crash. It didn't sound like a tree hitting the ground, but rather a sauropod. He looked into the valley, and Slayer was ripping at a sauropod carcass. The Tyrannosaurus was about to challenge the Giganotosaurus, but the Carcharodontosaurus stepped into the valley. Both predators roared, and they charged at each other. The Tyrannosaurus had seen enough, and he continued along the edge of the valley.

As he continued, a growl got his attention. He turned to face the source, and a Chilantaisaurus was looking at him. The Tyrannosaurus was about to attack when a female made her presence known, and he saw the nest. The Tyrannosaurus lowered his head before backing off. He wanted an easy meal. The Chilantaisaurus pair wasn't going to be that.

The Tyrannosaurus started to circle around back to his territory. He was taking a different path back home. A Saurophaganax saw the Tyrannosaurus and quickly got ready to attack. When the Tyrannosaurus walked by, the Saurophaganax attacked. He bit his neck and started shaking, but the Tyrannosaurus freed himself. He looked at the Saurophaganax and roared, and the Saurophaganax saw that the Tyrannosaurus would be too much for him. The Saurophaganax ran away.

The Tyrannosaurus reached a river just outside his territory. He stopped for a drink. On the other side of the river, was a Spinosaurus. They looked at each other for a moment. These two knew each other well. The Spinosaurus looked at the stump that was his left arm, and the Tyrannosaurus remembered the scars on his back. They looked at each other and nodded. The Tyrannosaurus dipped his head into the river and started drinking. He looked up, and the Spinosaurus was gone. He looked, and there were some ripples in the water. He quickly backed off, expecting the Spinosaurus. Several minutes went by, and still no sign of the Spinosaurus. The ripples had stopped two minutes earlier, and he went back to take a look. Where the ripples had been, was a frog. The Tyrannosaurus looked at it and then walked away. That's when the attack came.

From the left, the Tyrannosaurus was bitten by something large. The attack didn't do much damage, but it alerted the Tyrannosaurus to the presence of something large. He looked in all directions, but his attacker was no where to be seen. He kept his back to the river, and soon, there was movement in the treeline. He roared, and the dinosaur allowed the Tyrannosaurus to see him. It was a Mapusaurus. He was different than an ordinary Mapusaurus though. Instead of being forest green with dark stripes like an ordinary Mapusaurus, but almost glowed an electric blue. The sun reflected off his skin similar to a diamond.

The Mapusaurus wasted no time charging. The Tyrannosaurus stood his ground and stopped him. The Mapusaurus was large, but not large enough to move the Tyrannosaurus easily. He was about six tons in weight. The Tyrannosaurus charged, and he quickly overpowered the Mapusaurus. He shoved the Mapusaurus into the treeline before backing off to go for a lunge. The Mapusaurus sidestepped the attack and lunged for the Tyrannosaur's neck. The Tyrannosaurus was going faster than he expected, and the Mapusaurus caught him by the shoulders.

The Tyrannosaurus roared as the Mapusaurus started shaking his head, but the Tyrannosaurus was too heavy for the Mapusaurus to get very far to either side. The Tyrannosaurus reared up, and the Mapusaurus let go before the Tyrannosaurus could get him too high. The Tyrannosaurus looked at the Mapusaurus as he lowered himself, and the Mapusaurus growled. The Tyrannosaurus gave a warning roar, and the Mapusaurus lunged. The Tyrannosaurus sidestepped and headbutted the Mapusaurus. The Mapusaurus stumbled to the side and hit a tree.

When the Mapusaurus regained his balance, he ran at the Tyrannosaurus. The Tyrannosaurus sidestepped and but the Mapusaurus by the head. The Mapusaurus freed himself after struggling for a few minutes, and he roared at the Tyrannosaurus. The Tyrannosaurus roared back as he mock charged, and the Mapusaurus jumped back. The Tyrannosaurus charged, and the Mapusaurus ducked out of the way.

Meanwhile, at the top of a hill a quarter mile away, six Tyrannosaurs were making their way to the battle ground. Leading the group, was an eight ton female. She was the mate of the Tyrannosaurus fighting the Mapusaurus. Following her, are two adolescents, one male and one female. Both are five tons in weight. Behind them, are three hatchlings, barely a week old. None are heavier than forty pounds. The family heard the two predators roaring, and they were going to help finish it.

The Mapusaurus jumped at the Tyrannosaur's side, and he stumbled into a large tree. Before the Tyrannosaurus could react, the Mapusaurus was on him again. He bit the Tyrannosaur's head and started pushing. The Tyrannosaurus couldn't get his head free, and started pushing back. Pretty soon, both predators are tired, and both are within ten feet of the river.

The Mapusaurus lost his grip, and the Tyrannosaurus lunged. He shoved the Mapusaurus into a tree, and the Mapusaurus hit the ground. The Tyrannosaurus walked over to his downed opponent, ready to finish him off. The Mapusaurus saw he wasn't going to be able to stand up, so instead, he waited. When the Tyrannosaurus got close enough, he lashed out with his feet. He hit the Tyrannosaur's leg, breaking it on impact. The Tyrannosaurus hit the ground and tried to stand, but he couldn't.

The Mapusaurus stood up and looked at the Tyrannosaurus. The Tyrannosaurus snarled, but the Mapusaurus didn't care. He walked to the Tyrannosaurus and placed a foot on his chest. The Tyrannosaurus knew the end was near, and he waited for it. He closed his eyes, but a steady booming got his attention. The Mapusaurus looked in the direction it was coming from, and then he was knocked into the river. The female just saved here mate, and she helped him to his feet. The walk home was long and slow, but they made it after several hours.

Winner....... Mapusaurus

Don't lie, you thought I was going to say Rex because the female knocked him into the river. This time around, a little luck and superior agility gave Mapusaurus the victory.
