Hey Folks! Paden here, I'm back for a few days before I take off on you all again. I decided to do a little quick Discussion, I've noticed in my Two weeks of Absence there's been many new members. I'd like to apoligise for not being able to welcome you when you arrived, Lates better then never...

To all of JW Forums new members, In the kind words of Richard Attenborough,

"Welcome, to Jurassic Park"

Another few quick things, FBR Six is still on the way, We've been discussing it for a few days now. It'll get here eventually.

So... Yeah, That wraps up my little message.

Thanks.

-Paden.

♠♣♥♦ ♦♥♣♠

In one year.

A new film will be released.

A forum will explode with members and topics.

Time will have passed,

You will be different. I will be different.

Many of you. Will not be here.

So is the way of a forum.

You join, You talk, You become known, And then, You stop.

Sometimes you are remembered.

Dinofights

But you are usually forgotten.

Now, Why are we here... Not here as in life, But here on this forum...

A common driving goal.

Dinosaurs

We're here to discuss, debate, and yes, Argue over Dinosaurs, and the Jurassic park Franchise.

But is it really worth it?

You can lead any number of Lifes you want. Wether it be on a forum, In your mind, Anything.

so, In short. Hell yes.

Drawing back to my main point.

In a year, A new film continuing an Adventure 65 million years in the making is to be released...

There is still doubts a many to this film.

Whats your doubts about this film?

Anything, Anything at all.

Here's a list of my Doubts:

1. The original Script, Written by the writers of "Planet of the Apes" *Rick jaffa or something* Colin and his "Friend" Went and changed the script as they pleased. I've seen a bit of Colins work before... I'm not too sure that was the best idea.

2. There's nothing new. The raptors are the same, The rex is the same *Build*, There's no huge Diversity.

3. The park has apparently been around long enough to Reach a point where it begins to slow down.

Really...?

Okay, So. Seaworld opened in: 1959

Disneyland 1955

Sixflags 1961

These are all Parks, That have a large quantity of guests daily, And none of them seem to have the problems of Jurassic world.

Jurassic world has technical problems, dinosaur problems. But they are very few.

Now, All three of those parks I mentioned, they have difficulties too... They also haven't slowed down.

Going back to the time periods.

Even with top tech, It would take a while to get a park such as JW Up and running... And aswell, To a point of completion such as this.

So, Lets look at the time?

JP3 Happened during 2001, About a month or Two prior to 9/11.

Why is 9/11 Important here? Well. During JP3, The US Navy would've redirected one of it's fleets, Or a battle group over to the Five Deaths. A Few ships would've been stationed on patrol over the Islands, As the Islands would've been viewed as a U.N. Concern. Naval groups from Surrounding countries would be on patrol.

Now, after the towers fell, Most of the ships would've been Withdrawed, And focused overseas.

By 2002, A large amount of the naval ships from the UN Patrol would've been withdrawn, As canada and the states would've had to re-direct some their ships from the Islands to overseas.

By 2005, the UN Most likely would've stretched out the patrols of the islands, Handing the Situation over to the Costa Rican Armed forces, With a UN Vessel coming by weekly to monthly.

By 2008, It's fallen to Costa Rican entirely to protect the islands.

This is the most Plausible time for Isla Nublar to Be Purchased from Costa rica, The government most likely beleving it to be safe by this given time. The dinosaurs having died out.

Now... I'd pitch maybe, Two years to get the park on it's feet, Finished construction. after opening with half of the planned species and such.

That would bring us to 2015.

It doesn't fully add up but what ever.

4. Different Composer.

What was wrong with john williams?

5. The park has two many... Things...

6. Theres too many Advertisements...  I mean, Granted you'd expect some, But they slapped them on everything.

That's my list.

Signing off.

-Paden

I have so many other doubts about the film. Knowing hollywood these days they are going to add an unecessary romance story.

IT'S TIME TO DU-DU-DU-DU-DUEL!!!

Not even a decent one, one specificially meant for 12 year old girls. And I bet you it's all thanks to Twilight...

i think alot of people are going to go into this movie with alot of doubt. JP3 was that movie that completely ruined the magic of the franchise, and now they're making another one? I can see why people groan about this..

But..

At the same time Trevorrow is a  seasoned writer, he has only one other movie, he did a hell of a job with it. I thoroughly enjoyed safety not guaranteed was an excellently executed movie.

The only thing that bothers me is the shooting time didn't last as long as i expected it to...but that's really all. He has experience in the realm of sci-fi films, rather its directing them or writing them. I think this movie is gonna reinstate the wonder of the Jurassic Park franchise.

Edit: Catzilla told me filming time in movies is fairly short...so i really have no doubts about this movie

My main concern is... The D-rex, honestly spino didn't go off well, how do they think a fake dinosaur will, I think they might be able to pull it off but, I'm not geting my hopes up.

I have many of the same doubts as you do, but my main concern is the D-Rex. Here's why.

1. Why call it Diablous Rex. They could've come up with something better than that.

2. That it is genetically mixed with other animals. Rex, Raptors, cuttle fish, and snake. Rex, Raptor and snakes, don't make a strange combination, but adding cuttlefish, seriously? They should have added chameleon, keep reptile.

3. The design. I seriously hope they try and keep it dinosaur-like, instead of adding strange features like gills, or a fish tail.

That's all I have. Paden, contact me with what needs to be done for FBR six and I'll all I can to help.

it most certainly won't have gills, as those are the breathing apparatus of aquatic creatures exclusively.

About the name...they probably wanted it to sound as lethal as the could..and a name that roughly translates to 'Devil King' certainly brings that to the party

Trevorrow has stated it's going to be a dinosaur, just a concoction of different ones. I'm quite curious/excited to see how they pull it off, actually

I know it won't have gills, but I still think they could have thought of a better name. I really do want to see how they pull him off. If they do it right, it could be really cool

Still...

I don't quite think with that Compiled bit of DNA, You'd flat out get a dinosaur.

Even if it does have a compiled list of Dinosaur and Animal DNA, There's no telling what you'd get...

*Unless they've got space genetics, in which they throw all logic out the window, and use "Advanced Technology". This is the writers way, Of middle fingering you, and saying "This is my word, My word is life"

They could get a cuttlefish. with the DNA Of a snake and rex.

The original JP already had 'impossible science' featured in it with the whole getting decently complete DNA from a mosquito 65 million years old, doing something of that like has never been outside the realm of posibility in these films

I do see where you guys are coming from though

Besides that *The amber*, Most of the first JP's science, Did have some logic behind it.

The pairing of an Incomplete DNA Strand with another Species is something that would need to be taken, Aswell as an empty embryo.

But that was all explained in the book, Rather then the movie.

But yeah, There is some limits, I mean, The only reason tehy got away with that, Is because everyone beleived it.

Sorry to say, but yeah, I'll probably fade out, eventually.

My doubts are on the D-Rex without a doubt.

I agree with this list. I also ghave a bit of doubts on D. Rex. Isn't a freak hybrid made of four different creatures a bit too sci-fi?
