Godzilla 2 Sequel release date confirmed! i think

Godzilla 2 coming out Late 2016 or 2017 latest, as Gareth is directing a Star Wars spin-off and then only will come to Godzilla

Guys just don't hold your breath on it, it really may not happen until 2018 and the longer the time spent on production for a movie usually the better the results. :)

That's the same site that posted that total bullshit rumor about the China post-credits scene with Mothra and the horde of MUTOs, so right off the bat, you know it's not credible.

Like Ben said, it might not come out until as late as 2018 with Edwards being busy with the 'Star Wars' spin-offs.

No way this is true. KDramaStars is the Korean The National Enquirer. They have zero credibility.

To be completely honest, a lot of things can fall through between now and then. 

"Though they've been wrong about a lot of things" is the understatement of this millennium.

Kdramastars is, in my opinion, the worst site for Godzilla news and information on the entire world wide web that I've found thus far and nothing they say should be taken as any kind of statement of fact.

They even tried to pass off an "end credit scene with Mothra leading an army of MUTOs" for over three weeks as being "confirmed" and for select Asian theaters only. I don't even need to explain just how horrendously fraudulent that one was as anyone with even the tiniest spec of intelligence could see through it right away. I mean come on! Mothra leading an army of MUTOs? Yeah, maybe in some fanboy's dream but not in the real world.

They have absolutely no credibility as a "news" site as far as I'm concerned, and that date conflicts with Edward's schedule as the director of the new Star Wars film. Edwards is set to direct the next two Godzilla features, but Legendary would be fools to fast track the second movie. Between now and 2016, they don't have nearly enough time to come up with a truly solid story that actually makes sense and flows properly, create new characters, hire new actors, fill in all of the crew gaps for those who aren't coming back, score the film, and release it all before 2016 comes around. Not with Edwards set to direct the Star Wars film.

I have zero faith in that pathetic website and it's fraudulent authors to begin with, but this is just sad that they're trying to save face with this new "confirmed" release date for Godzilla 2. Just sad.

To furher drive the nail in the coffin on this, actually read the article.

The article has the title of a 2016 release, but the article itslef is the 4th repeat of the Mothra in the sequel post. I repeat, this is at least the 4th time this author has posted that exact same article with a different title.

Read the articles next time, and please don't post anything from that pathetic website here again. They're not worth the time to even bother listening to anymore. If you see anything from Kdramastars about Godzilla, don't pay attention to it.

There's no chance that website will be able to report on something big like that before the people at this site get ahold of the real information and share it with us. Trust me, you'll see a true confirmed release date here on this site before you ever find one on Kdramastars.

I hope it gets released in 2017 and for it to be done with care and not be rushed so it could end up being a let down.

The "Mothra post-credit" scene they kept mentioning on there isn't true, if it was, we would've seen it on YouTube by now, albeit for a very short time before being taken down. That, and/or it would've been leaked on other sites, yes, somebody would've managed to leak it if it were true.

So right off the bat, I don't believe this 2016 rumor. Maybe if they can get somebody to co-direct it with him (Guillemo Del Toro, or better yet, Chris f'in' Nolan) so that way, he won't have so much work to do on this after finishing the 'Star Wars' spin-off, but that doesn't seem likely to happen, either.

I doubt they have any official information about the release date so I am going to have to say that this is a bit of bull. Although, it is very likely that the sequel will probably come out in 2016.
