1. Godzilla is 355 ft tall, King Ghidorah is 462-500 ft tall

2. Height isnt everything, Godzilla is 90 000 tons, I estimated Ghidorah at 117 000 tons

So the answer is...........

GODZILLA

Realistically, I picture Godzilla really being able to take King Ghidorah down 1 on 1.

Hand to hand: King Ghidorah doesnt have arms, but if he is a Legendary movie, they will probably give him a sorta arm thingy to attach his wing to, so he can his claw at the end of it to stab Godzilla, but LegendaryGoji still owns this (Winner: LegendaryGoji)

Rays: Since LegendaryGoji hasnt used his atomic breath at full power, or if he has the Red Spiral Ray, I dontknow how he would do against gravity beams (Winner: 50/50)

Durability: King Ghidorah obviously has at least the same durability as Godzilla (Winner: 50/50)

Remember that chap, I forget his name, he climbed Everest without any oxygen, came down nearly dead. They asked him, they said, "Why did you go up there to die?" He said, "I didn't, I went up there to live."

Well if Ghidorah would be in the Legendary movies, they would definitely ramp him up, just like they did with Godzilla. I'd say Ghidorah, because he's always been one of Godzilla's toughest enemies. Ghidorah has proved time and time again he doesn't need arms to be a BA. That and I've always had a fondness for giant three-headed dragons

King Ghidorah could win, but he'd have to be smart about it, use Godzilla's territorial aggression against him.  I'd say Ghidorah would have to lure Godzilla up a mountain and then swoop in and grab him and throw him off a cliff, like eagles sometimes do to goats.  But if Godzilla could survive the fall then Im not sure what Ghidorah could do.  I don't know if one could really kill the other; Ghidorah always just flies off when he gets overwhelmed.

if legendary did Godzilla rigth then they would make king ghidorah so powerfoul that godzilla coudnt beat him and needs help

so king ghidorah would win

Evacuate?, Godzilla is just a Legend!-Woman in GMK

King Ghidora. In some movies Godzilla would have been killed by Ghidora if he didn't have help from the humans in Final Wars.

the toho Godzilla always need help to beat him, but this new Godzilla can rip all the three heads of Ghidorah with ease.

If I remember correctly, in GvsKG, he used the atomic pulse to escape from Ghidorah's grasp.

The pre-megaro goji godzillas were the worst fighters in the ENTIRE Godzilla series.

I honestly think Godzilla would win this.

King Ghidorah has never once beaten Godzilla in combat so there's no reason for this thread to really exist. Regardless of whether or not he had help along the way, Godzilla has never lost to Ghidorah.

Allow me to prove it:

Ghidorah, The Three Headed Monster - Beaten by Godzilla, Rodan, and Mothra and driven away from the Earth.

Godzilla vs. Monster Zero - Beaten not once, but twice by Godzilla and Rodan.

Destory All Monsters - Got beaten by all the monsters of Earth.

Godzilla vs. Gigan - Beaten by Godzilla and Anguirus.

Godzilal vs. King Ghidorah - Beaten not once, but twice by Godzilla and the end of the second fight concluded wtih Mecha King Ghidorah's death. He might have moved Godzilla out to sea, but that's not really a victory when Godzilla was ultimately unharmed by the attempt.

GMK - Beaten down each and every time they engaged in combat, even when supercharged and during the sacrifice play. It was Godzilla's own power that destroyed him in the end. Ghidroah's sacrifice only served to temporarily take away Godzilla's ability to move around on his own, a change that would surely not have lasted if Godzilla had just stopped using his Atomic Breath. But Godzilla was not defeated by Ghidorah in this one either.

Final Wars - Kaizer Ghidorah is not truly King Ghidorah, but for those keeping track and who view him as one of Ghidorah's incarnations, he still lost even though he dominated the fight before Godzilla received his own Kaizer power. So if Godzilla had Kaizer power since the beginning and it was Kaizer vs. Kaizer, Godzilla would obviously have dominated regardless.

So then, what's the analysis and inevitable conclusion?

King Ghidorah is Godzilla's most overrated foe by far, and he doesn't deserve his title of "Godzilla's Arch Nemesis."

It's one thing to be in a lot of movies standing against Godzilla, but when the "Arch Nemesis" has never once beaten the main character or even come close to causing his death, how is that really an "Arch Nemesis?"

If anyhting, that title belongs to Mechagodzilla as he's come the closest to killing Godzilla in almost all of their fights.

Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla, Godzilla was made to bleed profusely during their first fight and again during their second before Godzilla's Deus Ex Machina magnetism attack turned the tide.

Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II, if Rodan hadn't been in the story at all or at least hadn't given his energy to Godzilla, Mechagodzilla would have killed Godzilla outright.

Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla, the Absolute Zero cannon's power and effect was taken away by the water once they were submerged at the end of the movie. Had it struck Godzilla directly on land, he'd have been turned into nothing but an ice statue and destroyed the same way the buildings were in the Absolute Zero Cannon's demonstration video. Even then he didn't escape unharmed, and had a huge chunk of flesh removed from his chest and his left arm was dangling and useless, likely either broken or just of no use until it healed by the next film's events.

Tokyo S.O.S, Godzilla was struck and punctured by Kiryu's drill hand, and had Kiryu aimed higher and used it for a longer duration, he would have scrambled Godzilla's internal organs and killed him. But instead Kiryu chose to take Godzilla back to the sea and ultimatley let him survive.

So it doesn't matter which form of King Ghidorah we use to compare to G 2014. He's going to lose. Godzilla hasn't lost to him yet, and I doubt his winning streak will be ended anytime soon as Ghidorah's not going to be in the Legendary films. None of the Toho monsters will be in them.

Legendary has already revealed that they have set up a universe all their own for this franchise, courtesy of Max Borenstein, and that means they won't be using Toho monsters at any point in time nor should they. If they can't succeed without ripping off of Toho and stealing Toho monsters, then they don't deserve to continue.

It depends on which king ghidorah we are talking about. Showa king ghidorah took 10 other monsters to beat him, while heisei got his butt handed to him. New goji wheights more than ghidorah by 10000 tons and my money is on him. :-)

The new Godzilla struggled against the flying muto, making it bigger, stronger, and giving it the ability to shoot lightning turns that into Ghidorah, and I don't think the new Godzilla could handle him.

I'd have to go with King Ghidorah. If he doesn't win, it's a tie.

@Durp

I don't ever remember Godzilla having trouble with the flying MUTO.

The Flying MUTO also had arms, which Ghidorah does not possess.

+ Godzilla's atomic breath was able to incapacitated the FemMuto in 1 shot.

Ghidorah will put up a good fight but this Godzilla isn't afraid to get his hands dirty and do some clawing and biting and various other melee attacks.

In a perfect world, I  pick to King Ghidorah for win.

The world will spin well past our last breath, but I will always care about you

@Godzillasaurus Rex

Godzilla confronted the flying muto 3 times during the film, once in hawaii, then when he first landed in San francisco and finally with the female muto. The fact that every time both came out unscathed for the most part speaks volumes as Godzilla was larger and no doubt stronger, but the flying muto was at least able to match him for short volumes of time. He then confronted Godzilla solo for the final fight as the female chased the humans for destroying their nest, which he was finally defeated. The fact Ghidorah doesn't have hands doesn't really matter as he has 3 heads 2 of which could be used in the same fashion as arms with the exception the have sharp teeth and shoot lightning.

I'd hardly say his breath incapacitated the female muto. Maybe pushed back but she was hadly harmed in the long run as was obvious due to the fact she jumped right back in. That and the shot was at point blank range. Would Ghidorah have any need to do that? He can just fly around and shoot lightning all day, while the new Godzilla has yet to show his atomic breath has any real range to it in the movie, that and it has a decent charge up time. Ghidorah's never been one afraid to fight melee either as apparent by his various movies, and he's a lot stronger, and more resilient than the mutos were shown to be.

Durpoo4- We dont know how powerful his atomic breath really is. Also ghidorah got roflstomped by freaking gorosaurus.. Nuff said.

Good grief.

I don't really consider getting kicked from behind while he had 3 monsters fighting him in front to be "roflstomped" Thaat's like saying legendary Godzilla got dropped by the flying muto

My money is still on godzilla. :)

Though yes the showa king ghidorah is the toughest of the bunch... i still think the new godzilla could handle him, it really depends on several different things. :)
