What weapons would you take to JP to protect yourself? There are rules, they have to be real, and can only have a certain amount. Don't worry about ammo either, the facilities have more than enough to last you. But you can't carry around all that ammo with you like a video game. You can carry a reasonable amount of ammo with you. You also can't carry every weapon you have with you at the same time.

These are the weapons groups and numbers of them you can have.

Pistols-2-3 whatever you want

Shotguns-2 shotgun

Rifles-4 rifles (Assault and sniper)(banettes are acceptable)

Explosives-5 (Bazooka's, RPG's, LAW's, grenades, etc.)

Melee/Tool- 4 (knives, machetes, shovels, etc.)

Bow/Crossbow-1 (compound, long, recurve, crossbow)

And a couple of things special-2

Mine are these...

Pistols-Sig Sauer P2226, Desert Eagle, and a Colt 45. 1911

Shotguns- AA-12 and SPAS 12

Rifles-DSR-50 with scope (Regular .50 cal and armor peircing bullets), Beowulf with tactical scope, M-16 with banette, and AK-47 with tactical scope and banette

Explosives- LAW, RPG, grenade launcher (six shots), grenades, IED's

Melee/Tools- Hunting knife, Machete, Tactical shoval, tactical Harpoon M48

Bows/Crossbows- Elite 2014 Energy 32 Compound bow, 70lbs. draw, and Schwacker broadheads

Special weapons-Mini-gun(for packs of raptors coming at me), and Solothurn (for big dinos)

What are your weapons?

I'm sure Mr. Happy is pretty giddy right now, being our local gun-nut and all.

Youre fat, and I'm not sugarcoating it cause you'd probably eat that too.

JEZZA - I'm going to have to go with a 1911 Colt .45 handgun (2), my Mossberg shotgun (I'll happily take 2!), my M14 Rifle (if I can have 2, that'd be just swimming!), and probably the largest RPG Launcher my 5'2", 105lb frame could lug around! :)

Haha, this is too easy.

Rifles: Barrett M82A2 in .50 BMG, Scar-H in 7.62 NATO, M16 in 5.56 NATO, and a Savage Arms Axis in 30-06.

Pistols: Desert Eagle in .50 Action Express, a .357 Magnum, and a Tac 45 in .45 ACP.

Shotgun: SPAS 12 in 12 gauge and a Saiga 12 in 12 gauge.

Explosives: XM-25, Milkor MGL, RPG-7 and C4.

Melee: Machete, hunting knife, shovel.

Crossbow: 150 pound draw.

Specials: Minigun and .20mm Anzio.

Well done!

Mr. Happy, i said you could have 4 if you want.

Imagine yourself being charged at by 20 velociraptors, then, in an instant, the vegation is being ripped to pieces and raptors are dropping to the ground. All because of your minigun.

4 of what? I personally would not waste Minigun ammo on 20 raptors. Less than 400 pounds is child's play for a 12 gauge, a 50 AE, and a 45 ACP.

Melee weapons, sorry bout that.

It would still pretty awesome shooting a pack of raptors with it.

I see. I'm more of a shotgun guys when it comes to close range. Can't swing the barrel around to take a fatal shot you say? Smash it with the stock, and then kill it for marring the finish on your gun. I'm the guy who, if I'm stuck on an island and only get two weapons, will take a sniper and a shotgun, and remove the butt pad on the shotgun to use the stock as a Melee.

When you said a .50 cal anti material sniper rifle with scope, that narrows it down to every .50 BMG ever built, such as the Barrett M82A1, M82A2, M82A3, M107, XM500, the Accuraccy International AW50, AS50, the McMillon Tac50, and the Cheytac AR50. Just to list a few.

Yeah, I don't know nearly as much about snipers as you. I just a .50 cal anti-material sniper is powerful. Tell me which is the best Mr. Happy, so I can write that down instead. Please.

All the Barretts are semi automatic, as well as the Accurracy International AS50. The Tac50, AW50, and AR50 are bolt action. The bolt actions are 3-5 round if I'm not mistaken, while the semis are 10 round. The semis, being gas operated, have lower recoil, but the bolt actions are more reliable and easier to maintain. The M82A2 and it's predacesor, the XM500 are Bullpup, meaning the mag loads behind the trigger mechanism.

I'm not sure which is the best, it would ultimately come down which looks the coolest to me if I had to choose, which would actually be the Cheytac AR50.

Forgot to mention the German built DSR-50.

Five round bolt action, Bullpup, that beast of a rifle right there is my favourite without a doubt. German built means good, look at weapons such as the DSR, the PSG-1 and the FG42, to name a few German built weapons.

Can you get a 10 round mag for those rifles? I'd get a few armor peircing bullets for ankylosaurs.

I thought about putting a 4 gauge shotgun on my list, but decided not get my shoulder turned to dust.

Damn, a shotgun like that I'd actually have to shoulder.

I don't think you can a five rounder for the DSR, I mean, it's a .50 BMG sniper rifle. You're shooting at targets a mile away, it's not like they're shooting back.

Armour piercing rounds wouldn't do sh!t against Ankylosaurus. A .50 BMG produces about 2000 foot pounds of energy (FPE). T-Rex has a bite of almost 18000 PSI. Ankylosaurus's armour is pretty much T-Rex proof. FPE is the force per square foot, while PSI is force per square inch. A 20mm Vulcan wouldn't do anything against Ankylosaurus either.

*20mm Vulcan produces three times as much force as the .50 BMG

It could still be useful for shooting through thick dino bone.

If anything, an armour piercing round will slide between the ribs or something while hollowpoints would expand and possibly get stopped. If it hits bone, it could ricochet. Your best bet would be to put a round in the eye of something, but even then it would dicey.

I'm sure that you could get between the armor of an ankylosaur. I'd go for the heart of a dino or the back of the head.
