Is Ridley Scott doing a secret project in Australia?

Here's something else to think about; Michael Fassbender as apparently just finished filming 'Macbeth.' Is this timing just coincidence?

I'm pretty sure that he won't look for filming locations if he starts filming this fall. So we can exclude Prometheus 2. It could be Blade Runner 2. Do you remember when Ridley Scott talked about one scene of Blade Runner 2?

If it is not Blade Runner 2 then there just remains The Forever War and (The Martian?).

If they're looking for locations now, that would be certainly too late. Don't you think? 

Relax man its probably for his new HBO or Showtime project titled Pharaoh and Australia has great sand dunes and deserts for an Egypt-like landscapes. 

It could be Pharaoh, but wouldn't he choose a location in Egypt or Almera in Spain where he filmed Exodus?

It could be the Martian, as certain landscapes in Australia have a very martian look.

But then again, if you google 'Australia landscapes' or 'Australia landmarks' and go to Images, there are some of the most beautiful places in the world, (i always thought Australia was just plain, arid land, but there are some stunning areas there.) You could call it Paradise.

It could indeed be for the TV project or for Martian, but that doesn't mean Prometheus 2 can't be his next gig. I bet he'll be just scouting locations.

Hmmm yes confusing well logic points towards Martian. But sources I think point to the daily mail one and prometheus. Just because the daily mail gives it's source as an insider the telegraph seems be using an Australian paper? Anyway yes not sure these things are always sketchy at best. I guess if Matt Damon turns up we will be more sure...

Who to trust more?

The "insider" mentioned by British The Daily Mail or the columnist of Aussie The Daily Telegraph?

Are the two things mutually exclusive? What if Prometheus 2 will indeed be made in Australia, like The Martian and Blade Runner 2?

I think he might not chose the Middle East right now because of the anti-western climate over their but I think hes avoiding these places for good reasons. Its the political instability and jihadists.

There is a lot of ancient history in Aus. The Aus Aboriginals span back over 45,000 years. Perhaps there will be another flash back in P2. I hope so. Also Australia hasnt changed much as a land mass in millions of years. Would be logical to use this ancient land in the P2 story line.

The Australian land mass is the oldest continent on Earth. I think that there could definately be a flash back in P2. Its plausible, interesting and exciting for us Ausies.....

Also ther are ancient rock paintings, painted over 20,000 years ago depicting what look like giant humanoid beings which are visible here today..... Bring it on Ridley....
