MemberMothra LarvaeMay-08-2014 6:45 PMIf you were approached to do a Godzilla prequel in 2017 to Gareth's movie who else would you want to direct the movie, what actors would you give the roles to and most importantly, what would be the story for a Godzilla prequel that takes place several years before 1954 and involves Godzilla's first conflict with man?

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-08-2014 7:13 PMSOMETHING REAL - Sounds interesting. What would the movie's tone be compared to Gareth's film? And would it feature any opposing monsters?

Direct by Edward Gareth, The movie would be what happened in 1954 and will feature many Easter eggs and secrets.
The duration will be 2 hours and 15 minutes.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-08-2014 8:16 PMIt would be animated film about Godzilla millions of years ago, telling a story without dialogue as the earth changes and his species dies out. That really should be an hour long direct to video animation

I would love to see him manifested in that origin of yours. Its so, Dead Space/Thing ish - a true sci fi origin for an interesting monster such as that.
NPINKHAM19 - That is a very good idea you have there! I would love to see the story of Godzilla's species told in that way, and through magnificent animation no less. The Godzilla's conflict with the Muto and the near extinction of giant creatures altogether will make for a epic story indeed.
DARKCHIEF - I get the feeling we'll see the shortened part of that story early on in Gareth's film. How would you make it into a 2 hour story though?

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-08-2014 11:51 PMSOMETHING REAL - Dead Space is pretty heavy on influence from the Thing. You should play it, its a good game. The game follows engineer Isaac Clarke and his descent into madness and fear aboard a endangered allied space vessel within the bloody grip of a terrifying undead nightmare. Does that sound like its up your alley?

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-09-2014 12:03 AMSOMETHING REAL - Indeed it is, and it has many fightening moments sure to send chills down your spine and keep you on your toes. If you're a fan of horror, sci fi, and the Thing you owe it to yourself to play the Dead Space trilogy :)
On a side note: So you are a Silent Hill fan? What was your favorite installment?

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-09-2014 12:15 AMSOMETHING REAL - Yep. The story follows a clear cut path and provides an epic conclusion to the main character's struggle to rid humanity of the necromorphs as they are called. It even goes on to provide a convincing explanation as to why the title is what it is in a rather clever way. If you enjoyed the Thing and the creature's base instinct to consume all life in order to become a single intelligent creature just wait until you find out the true meaning behind the Convergence event in Dead Space ;) hint, hint, play the game SR, I think you'll love it!
