Yutyrannus vs. Yangchuanosaurus

These impressive creatures live in the northern part of the island, in the mountain range. They have a brown, downy coat of feathers which protects them from the cold. During the mating season, the male's feathers turn blue or purple and slightly glow in the dark due to a special substance which is bioluminiscent when it comes in contact with certain hormones. They have small arms with only two fingers, but they have very strong jaws and long, muscular legs. Their main rivals are the Cryolophosaurus and Albertosaurus that live in the same part of Isla Pelea.

Yangchuanosaurus is a large, powerful meat-eater. It walks on two large, muscular legs, has short arms, a strong, short neck, a big head with powerful jaws, and large, serrated teeth. It has a long, massive tail that is about half of its length. Its feet have three toes, each with a large claw. Its arms are short, and it has three clawed fingers on each hand. It is fairly fast and can jump quite high. They have been spotted jumping onto the backs of Large Sauropods with a single leap and without much trouble.

Fight!

A female Yangchuanosaurus had recently lost her territory to a large Torvosaurus and now she was searching for a new one. As she wandered around the island she noticed that there were more large and vicious theropods in the center and less on the edge, so she decided to try and go to the mountain range in the far north.

It didn't take long until she reached it. She saw that the mountains themselves were far too steep to act as a home, but there were many plateus up high so she tried it there. She came across a very large one, but there was something wierd ontop of it. it was one of the highest plateus and there was a thick layer of snow on it.

The cold 'sand' between her toes felt alien to her and it was pretty cold, but the cold never bothered her anyway. She didn't see any rivals at first glance and so she looked at the area in more detail. There were many rocks which could've acted as cover during her sleep, but there was a very dangerous cliffside on the far edge of the plateau. Small rocks and pebbles crumbled down into the endless abyss from time to time and then landed in the ocean with a *splash*.

While she was inspecting the cliffside something big creeped up on her. With a loud roar a large maleYutyrannus jumped out of his hiding place and challenged the Yangchuanosaurus. The male was hunting when he noticed that she invaded his territory. She realised that this was his territory, but she also noticed that she was a good bit larger than her opponent, so she accepted his challenge.

The male puffed up to look larger than he actually was. While the dark purple feathers looked quite intimidating, she didn't fall for it. Then he roared and charged at her head on. He wanted to head butt her, but she jumped to the side. The male instantly charged at her again. This time he stopped when she was about to jump. When she landed he was already smashing his head towards her's.

He knocked her out and to the ground with the powerful attack and ran at her to deliver the killing bite. But, fortunately for her, she snapped out of it due to the sudden shock of the strong jaws of the Yutyrannus clamping down on her neck. She reacted quickly and kicked out. She hit him in the gut and he was forced to step back.

She stood up and looked at her opponent again. He was a lot fiercer than she expected. This time she made the first attack by charging into him. He sidestepped, but the female already expected that and turned around. Shje smacked him in the face with her long tail and he fell to the ground.

She slowly made her way towards him. When she was close enough she lowered her head and got ready to rip his jugular out. The male still had some fight left in him and coughed a lot of blood into her face. While she stepped back and tried to shake the blood out of her eyes, the male stood up and got a safe distance away from her.

The Yangchuanosaurus was extremely annoyed with him and charged at him again. He tried to get out of the way, but he wasn't fast enough and had to feel the consequences when her arm lashed out and smacked him in the face, leaving three large scars behind on his snout. He roared and jumped backwards. She wasn't sure what he planned, but she was sure that she would win this fight no matter what.

When the Yutyrannus came to a halt she rushed at him in full speed. What she didn't notice was that the Yutyrannus made a smart move by positioning himslef near a small rock. He knew that area well and also knew that she would either trip over the rock if she didn't notice it in time, or run into the perfect positoon for him to counter.

She noticed the rock, jumped to the side and continued charging at the Yutyrannus. If he could, he woud've been grinning from ear to ear. He jumped to the side and easily avoided her attack from where she was and then he countered. He had planned that she would charge at him and knew how to lure her into the perfect position.

She roared at him and got ready to charge again, but then she noticed what he had planned. She was right in between him and the steep cliffside. Before she even knew how to react the male charged into her. She took a few uncoordinated steps and then fell backwards down the cliff. Her life ended with a loud *splash*. The Yutyrannus looked up from the endless ocean and roared as loud as he could.
