MemberBaragonMar-21-2014 2:37 PMhey guys little story to tell, well for starters i grew up on godzilla as many of you. As the years have passed by i have been blessed with 2 nephews already and about to recieve my third :) well it dawned on me why not share godzilla with each of them? so i have, the fan base has grown a little more now and when the third child arrives it will grow some more :) now then i have gotten my nephews dvds, t-shirts, and toys for them both and they cant get enough of godzilla who can blame them? so i finally introduced the gamera triology to them both and they said "we like godzilla better" lol XD, but you got to love children they are a huge blessing to all of us :) now they both want to see this godzilla film which i am off work the 15-18 of the month of may so i have promised them both that we are going to see it :) just the other day at work i meet a new hire and he was also a godzilla fan but did not have any of the dvds :( lucky for him i had extras by mistake that were brand new and that i would sell them to him. i sold to him the original japanese masterpiece, all of the heisei films except biollante and the return of godzilla, and all of the millenium series all for 50 bucks it wasnt about the money to me it was about helping another godzilla fan out.
so what about you guys? got anything you would like to share about helping out the new generation and passing godzilla down the line?

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-21-2014 2:42 PMI have 2 lttle nephews too! They're fraternal twins. THey hadn't seen godzilla until about last year christmas time. I turned on Ghidrah the three headed monster, one of them immediately got into it and the other was very afraid of it, he ran out of the room, he was reluctant. He eventually lightened up and started enjoying it. THey were so fascinated, their obsession was ben 10 but soon after they were asking about Godzilla.
I gave them all my bandai godzilla's (well except for the SH stuff, very flimsy for a childs toy) and just bought them some new 2014 toys. Everynow and then one of my nephews goes up to me and asks "where is the talking godzilla? i wanna watch talking godzilla movie!" So i put on Godzilla vs Gigan, that wasn't it, I tried Godzilla's revenge, taht wasn't it. I will never know what this "talking" godzilla is :|

MemberBaragonMar-21-2014 7:21 PMThe trick is to get them to enjoy Godzilla at a young enough age. Introduce them to Godzilla too late (as teenagers) and they'll just turn it off as they are too "hip" or too "cool" to be seen to enjoy "a man in a rubber suit stomping a toy city".
