This one is a bit chaotic for a number of reasons. One of them being that I wrote it at 2 a.m..

Eocarcharia vs. Ichthyovenator

Eocarcharia Dinops

Length: 25 feet (7,5 meters)
Weight: 2 tons
Era: Middle Cretaceous
Location: Africa

Eocarcharias hunt exactly the same way as their larger counterparts, Giganotosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus. They are usually in packs of 5 members at the most and kill by repeatedly biting their prey and then letting it bleed to death. Their teeth are thin and sharp perfect for shearing flesh off and damaging a lot of blood vessels. But, just like their larger cousins, they gather in huge packs of up to 15 members and then hunt gianormous sauropods. Eocarcharias can even bring down animals 20x their size. Once gathered in such huge packs they hunt for Camarasaurs, nothing compared to Argentinosaurs, but still an incredible challenge fur such "small" animals.

Ichthyovenator Laosensis

Length: 30 feet (9 meters)
Weight: 2 tons
Era: Middle Cretaceous
Location: Asia

Ichthyovenators are the only Spinosaurs that won't be tolerated by Suchomimus, so they are often in large groups to keep them safe. Even though the Suchomimus are far bigger, their population isn't as concentrated on one place as the Ichthyovenator's. They are mainly piscivores, as all Spinosaurs are, but the big difference between them and the other Spinosaurs is that they still stay together in groups during droughts, while as every other Spinosaur, that lives in groups, leaves it's group when confronted with dry seasons. Because they live in groups their entire life, they are also the least water dependent Spinosaurs.

Fight!

A small Dryosaurus is walking around in the dense forest. It is still very sad because it had lost it's mate to an Allosaurus only a couple of days ago. Alone it couldn't keep the hatchlings alive and now it has to survive until the next mating season, which is easier said than done, because the small female is a healthy snack for every carnivore on Isla Pelea.

She has to be very careful, Troodons love the taste of Dryosaurus and at night they are even more dangerous. She notices a clearing and hears something, a loud hissing. She knows that she should run away, but her curiosity get's the best of her. She sneaks into a hollow tree log. It's a bit uncomfortable, but she doesn't intend to stay there very long. She finds an opening in the log and slowly pushes her head outside of the log.

She sees two predators fighting, one is longer, but the other is built stronger, so they are about the same weight. It's an Eocarcharia and an Ichthyovenator. Right now they are in a shoving match to dtermine who is stronger the Eocarcharia manages to push the Ichthyovenator away and then hisses at his opponent. It was probably a territorial fight.

Now they both go in opposite directions, but only after two or three steps the Ichthyovenator turns around and rushes at the Eocarcharia. The Eocarcharia doesn't notice him until it's too late. The Ichthyovenator has knocked him down and punched a hole through the Eocarcharia's neck with his thumb claws. The carcharodontosaur was instantly dead. The Spinosaurid was just about to start eating the corpse, but then he heard an angry growl, he turned around only to find the pack mates of the dead Eocarcharia in front of him.

He reacted fast and swiped the closest one's face with his claws and then ran away. He hadn't seriously injured the alpha of the pack and now they were chasing after him. They thought they had easy game, after all it was one Ichthyovenator on four Eocarcharias. The fastest Eocarcharia easily caught up to the Ichthyovenator and jumped onto it. He used the Ichthyovenator as a slide and they stopped right outside of the forest.

The Ichthyovenator was dead and the Eocarcharia was about to roar in victory, but then he felt as if something was breathing down his neck. He turned around and saw four other Ichthyovenators infront of him. He was paralyzed in fear, but then he regained his courage when he heard the alpha Eocarcharia's roar.

The fastest Eocarcharia leaned back and narrowly avoided the claws of what was probably the alpha Ichtyovenator. He walked backwards and now stood shoulder to shoulder with his pack mates that had finally caught up.

They were both teams of four so nobody had the advantage in numbers, they were about the same weight so their strength was also equal. This fight would come down to the luckiest pack.

The Eocarcharia on the right made the first move. He ran at the Ichthyovenator that was closest to him and snapped at him, he jerked his head back as fast as he could and the Ichthyovenator fell for the bait and slashed the air. Meanwhile one of the Ichthyovenators used it to his advantage that everybody was watching them and attempted to kill the alpha of the Eocarcharias right here and now. What this Ichthyovenator didn't knew was that the Eocarcharia had planned exactly that. The Ichthyovenator lunged at him and he easily avoided the attack and bit down on the skull of the Ichthyovenator as strong as he could.

The Ichthyovenator was squealing in pain, but fortunately for him another one of the Ichthyovenators charged at the Eocarcharia. He didn't knock him down, but he threw him off balance and caused him to let go of the other Ichthyovenator. Everybody backed away. Both packs were hissing at each other, some were growling others were almost roaring at the opposing pack.

The Eocarcharia released a very high pitched screech. The Ichthyovenators were utterly confused, but the Eocarcharia pack knew exactly what to do. Since they lived and hunted in a pack they worked out certain strategies and tactics. Depending on what kind of sound which pack member made, they knew what to do. And in this case it meant to attack the Ichthyovenators with as much as they've got as fast as they could.

The two Eocarcharias on the left attacked the Ichthyovenators on the right and vice-versa to confuse their opponent even further. The Eocarcharia that was completely to the left lunged at one of the Ichthyovenators which was looking at the Eocarcharia alpha ready to counter it. He would've died if it weren't for the alpha Ichthyovenator which headbutted the Eocarcharia.

It wasn't powerful enough to damage him seriously but it was enough to save one of her packmates the Ichthyovenator which was about to be ambushed looked at the alpha female Ichthyovenator gratefully, but he had forgotten about the Eocarcharia alpha which lunged at the Ichthyovenator, knocking it down, breaking many bones and eventually killing him with a swift and equally powerful bite to the braincase.

The alpha was glad that his pack now had the advantage in numbers, but when he turned around to check on his pack he witnessed as one of the Ichthyovenators jumped up and kicked an Eocarcharia into another Ichthyovenator which then ripped open the belly of the Eocarcharia with his hand claws.

The Eocarcharia alpha felt a need for revenge and rushed towards the one that had killed his pack member, but the alpha female jumped onto his back and was about to kill him when one of the Eocarcharias rammed into her, knocking her down.

They were all exhausted and had to take a small break. The alpha Eocarcharia decided to try something risky. He let out a very low pitched growl. The two other Eocarcharias were surprised that he would actually try something as risky as that. But they had to folow the order. Now the alpha ran towards the alpha female. She didn't know what was going on, everything she knew was that this was a perfect opportunity to rid them of their alpha.

He almost didn't fight back at all and she was about to kill him when she noticed what the plan was. Before she could react one of the Eocarcharias headbutted her and the other one distracted the two Ichthyovenators. She was amazed at how quickly they were able to overpower her pack, but she wouldn't give up that easily.

She wanted to finish off what she started and kill their alpha before helping her pack, which was a bad decision. She was about to kill him when the other Eocarcharia rammed her again, this time it was enough to knock her away. The alpha quickly regained his footing and ignored ther for now.

Now the alpha and the other Eocarcharia charged at the two Ichthyovenators that were attacking their other pack member, simultaneously knocking them out. The two Eocarcharias focused on one Ichthyovenator at a time. One of them snapped at one of the Ichthyovenators, distracting him, while the other one sneaked around and grabbed it's leg in his jaws. He pulled back and the Ichthyovenator fell down. His friend wanted to help him but he was too weak and too exhausted to do so and the alpha couldn't get around the alpha Eocarcharia.

The two Eocacharias now killed one of the Ichthyovenators by stepping on it's skull and crushing it while he was knocked down. They ignored the other one and came to help their alpha. They simultaneously charged into her from different directions and she couldn't do anything, the alpha Eocarcharia killed her quickly by crushing her spinal cord. And now they went for the last Ichthyovenator, he was already too weak to fight back so they simply stepped on him aswell.

By the time They were finally done with the Ichthyovenators they sun started to rise, they fought the entire night. They lied down and fell asleep. They all survived, but unlike in our world it wasn't a happy ending, the merely survived to fight another day.

Winner: Eocarcharia Dinops

Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-
