MemberTyrannosaurus RexOct-08-2013 5:40 AMThere are two ways of doing it.
The first is to save a picture to your photo library (works on desktop and mobile), and then when you hit the button to change the picture, hit "Choose Existing", and choose that photo.
The second way with the URL is to copy/paste it. On a desktop, you left click and move the cursor over the whole URL. On mobile (touch screen), you hold the put your finger on the screen, and when it says "Copy, Select, Select all", hit select all, and then copy, and when it gets to where you want to paste it in, you hold your finger on the screen where you want it, and when it appears, hit paste. On desktop, right click and hit paste.
I guess this won't help you anymore Jhwakins, but it may help future members.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexOct-08-2013 10:39 AMThere is a link that can be found in the footer of all of our network sites that will instruct you how to display images in your posts.
Remember that the URL is the web address of the image which can be grabbed using right click from google images (when previewing the image) or from and image hosting site such as imgur or photobucket, and as such should end in an image file format, such as .jpg .jpeg .bmp .png and .gif.
To appear as an image in your post, the URL of the image needs to be inserted in the popup box that appears when you click on the "painting of a tree" icon in the text editor when composing your post.
If you are still unsure check out a post that already has a picture within it... Hope that helps, if not be sure to pm myself or any of the staff for more guidance.
