Welcome, ladies and gentleman, to the second ever DinoBrawl! It's a little later than I had hoped due to a lack of sleep (we're dealing with a new and obnoxious puppy. I'm beginning to wish I picked the Iguana instead.) but it's here and decent. Anyway, in this fight we will see six prehistoric animals battle and the winner will move on to round 2 of the medium division where they will clash with Therizinosaurus for a spot in the quarter finals.
Six archosaurs will enter the fight but only one will leave with its life intact.
Appalachiosaurus vs Gryposuchus vs Siamotyrannus vs Eustreptospondylus vs Aerosteon vs Nothronychus
(I'm skipping InGen Files to save time so I'll just give the quick facts)

An Appalachiosaurus walks the beach, picking up scraps left behind by other predators. It's a lazy uneventful day for the tyrannosaur. He sees a Spinosaurus couple eating a dead shark they caught and watches them for a while before heading back to his territory on an island offshore a small distance. Kicking his legs and swinging his tail the Appalachiosaurus makes it to the island in the sun. Spinosaurus, Suchomimus, Pterodaustro and
Masiakasaurus fish the shores here and they don't even glance at the tyrannosaur when he walks by.
He makes his way to his territory and picks up a piece of a Maurasuchus on his way. The Appalachiosaurus drops it for later and sleeps. It's about noon when suddenly he awakes to see a Gryposuchus dragging the piece of meat towards a pool.
At last the mystery of his consistently missing meals is solved.
Just before the crocodile pushes back into the water it feels a heavy force pushing on its tail. With a hiss the Gryposuchus drops the Maurasauchus and turns around to see the angry Appalachiosaurus standing over it. The gavial hisses lower to warn the tyrannosaur but the Appalachiosaurus takes its food back.
Not one to give in without a fight the Gryposuchus bites the Appalachiosaurus on the leg and then twists to the side. The tyrannosaur stumbles a little but regains its balance. Roaring at the Gryposuchus the Appalachiosaurus drags its toe claws across the scute covered back of the enormous crocodilian. The Gryposuchus hisses and retreats as the dinosaur roars.
Going back to its territory the Appalachiosaurus starts hastily gulping down the food to avoid a confrontation of the same kind in the future.
Meanwhile a Siamotyrannus and Eustreptospondylus fight over a piece of territory on the same island. Having swam to the island the Eustreptospondylus was an unwelcome visitor to the Siamotyrannus' territory.
The Siamotyrannus roars at the intruder but the megalosaur stands its ground with a return roar and a mock charge. The two repeatedly mock charge each other until the Eustreptospondylus finally makes its move with a bite to the face of the Siamotyrannus. After breaking away the sinraptor uses its speed to run around to the side of the Eustreptospondylus and jumps on it, knocking the slightly larger megalosaur over. Its long toe claws hold the Eustreptospondylus in place while its jaws snap at the vulnerable neck of the grounded dino.
Fortunately for the Eustreptospondylus, its arms are just long and strong enough to keep the gnashing jaws of the attacker away. It headbutts the Siamotyrannus in the face before kicking it away and standing up. The short armed allosaur struggles to get up and the Eustreptospondylus stands over it. With the dinosaur equivalent of a smirk the megalosaur puts its foot on the skull of the Siamotyrannus. It slowly applies pressure and the Siamotyrannus' skull starts to crack.
Out of nowhere an Aerosteon smashes into the Eustreptospondylus, causing it to crush the Siamotyrannus' skull quickly with a loud pop.
SIAMOTYRANNUS ELIMINATED
The two dinosaurs lie on the ground and stare at each other in surprise as the Nothronychus the Aerosteon had been fighting comes through the brush. Its claws glisten with blood from the freshly made wound that sent the Aerosteon flying.
The Aerosteon roars at the therizinosaur and stands back up. Using its far superior speed and agility the light allosaur circles around the clawed herbivore and rams it, dodges a slash from the claws, bites its arm, dodges the other claw and then kicks it in the chest. The Nothronychus stumbles back and squawks at the Aerosteon.
The allosaur roars and charges again, biting the therizinosaur in the leg but suddenly it feels a set of teeth slice into its upper tail.
With a hiss the Aerosteon turns and sees the Eustreptospondylus it had collided with biting its tail.
The Eustreptospondylus wants to make sure the Aerosteon gets a simple message: "Don't mess with me".
The now angered Aerosteon attacks the Eustreptospondylus back, using its claws to hook into the shoulders of the Eustreptospondylus before slamming its hatchet-like upper jaw down on the attacker's head, knocking it unconscious. The Nothronychus slices the side of Aerosteon's neck open, causing blood to pour out.
The infuriated carnivore backs up across the clearing and runs full speed at the Nothronychus, using the Eustreptospondylus' unconscious body as a springboard to get extra air.
Like a kangaroo the Aerosteon flies through the air, tackling the Nothronychus and biting its neck repeatedly. The Nothronychus chokes on its blood as the Aerosteon mangles its neck. With a final cough the Nothronychus dies.
NOTHRONYCHUS ELIMINATED
Hearing some commotion that interrupted his slumber the very irritated and tired Appalachiosaurus heaves itself to its feet and walks towards the sound. Groggy, the tyrannosaur pauses and yawns before continuing on. The noise has quieted down and he considers turning back but a roar splits through the air.
Even angrier at the annoyance he turns towards the sound and speed walks to it, seeing the Aerosteon and the now awake Eustreptospondylus squaring off. Between them the Nothronychus corpse sits and the Appalachiosaurus decides he wants it. Roaring and rearing up the Appalachiosaurus tries to be as visually assertive as possible but avoid any real conflict but this fails when the Eustreptospondylus bites down on his tail.
The angry Appalachiosaurus roars and bites the Eustreptospondylus on the face, cracking its skull a little before it escaped. He feels a great force slam into him and falls over while the Aerosteon axe bites his arm repeatedly, breaking every bone in it before he could finally kick the Aerosteon off. When the Appalachiosaurus did finally kick his attacker off, the light Aerosteon flew through the air with ease, crashing into a tree and injuring its back.
Now on his feet the Appalachiosaurus faces the Eustreptospondylus. He can tell by the way the megalosaur is leaning that it has severely injured ribs. It obtained the injury earlier when the Aerosteon used it as a springboard. He himself has a few cracked ribs.
The Eustreptospondylus wastes no time in charging the Appalachiosaurus but the Appalachiosaurus side steps and kicks the Eustreptospondylus in the ribs, both knocking it down and causing its ribs to stab internal organs. The Eustreptospondylus lets out a wheezing roar before the Appalachiosaurus tears its throat out and it bleeds to death.
EUSTREPTOSPONDYLUS ELIMINATED
The Aerosteon lurks behind a tree and by the time the Applachiosaurus realizes it's probably up, the Aerosteon is in midair, nearly on top of the Appalachiosaurus.
The Appalachiosaurus sees it and as time slows down it tries to jump back but the allosaur is already upon it.
A barrage of claws and teeth hit the tyrannosaur but it holds its face over its neck, wisely protecting its most vulnerable area. Unfortunately, its face pays the price. Several of the Aerosteon's teeth are lodged in the skull of the Appalachiosaurus just inches from its brain. Only half of the tyrannosaur's skin still clings to the skull.
Eventually the allosaur starts to tire and the tyrannosaur makes its move, headbutting the Aerosteon and biting it in the lower neck when it falls back. The still fighting allosaur kicks and claws at the more powerful Appalachiosaurus, leaving very bad slice wounds all over it.
While putting up a fight the Aerosteon eventually runs short on air and suffocates.
AEROSTEON ELIMINATED
Tired and badly wounded the tyrannosaur heads back to its territory and falls asleep with the Nothronychus at its feet. Just to keep it secure the tyrannosaur sleeps on it while the sun starts setting.
Early the next morning the Appalachiosaurus awakes to a tugging sensation. It starts to realize that the Nothronychus it was planning on eating is being pulled away. Its eyes still not adjusted to the light the Appalachiosaurus doesn't realize what's taking the food until it makes out the vague outline of a crocodile in the dim light. Getting up for a closer look the Appalachiosaurus is relieved but somewhat annoyed to see it is the pesky Gryposuchus.
Relieved that its not something unbeatably huge like a Sarcosuchus but annoyed that he'll have to deal with it again.
But this time it's different: the Gryposuchus has made it to the water. The slow moving water is it's home turf, and the Appalachiosaurus known a this.
Not wanting to risk the loss of a rare meal but also not wanting to risk the chance of death in the water the Appalachiosaurus thinks of it before it sees the Gryposuchus gloating, holding the carcass above the water. It immediately starts running along the river bank while the Gryposuchus swims.
Neck and neck in speed the two edge closer and closer until the Appalachiosaurus is leaning over the water. In a shocking move the Gryposuchus drops the Nothronychus and lets it float behind it.
Foolishly the Appalachiosaurus takes the bait and wades towards it and is met with Gryposuchus jaws to the neck.
Dragging the dinosaur deeper and deeper the the Gryposuchus starts trying to twist.
Luckily the fighting pair crash into a submerged fallen tree and the giant gharial is dislodged. The tyrannosaur swims up and takes a breath of air before the Gryposuchus grabs his tail and drags him down again. He kicks in a desperate move and shatters the nose of the Gryposuchus. Blood clouds the water. The injured gavial shakes its head and the Appalachiosaurus kicks the side of the Gryposuchus, flipping it over by pure chance and leaving it disoriented. He continues to float down the stream and sees the Gryposuchus is after him. He swims as fast as he can but the crocodile still catches him and tears a huge piece of his flesh off in a mere passing bite. With another attack the Gryposuchus tears his leg open, exposing his thigh bone. The two drift down the river and the Appalachiosaurus lets out a desperate cry of pain before submerging himself and biting the Gryposuchus' back. He bites hard and hears some bones cracking under the pressure but his teeth hardly puncture the thick armor. He sets his sights on the soft underbelly. Rotating the thrashing crocodile slightly he starts to rake his claws down its belly but it squirms free and breaks many of his teeth.
The Appalachiosaurus is running out of air and tries desperately to kick the Gryposuchus and gets in a lucky shot. His long middle toe claws digs deep into the neck of the Gryposuchus and tears all the way down to its stomach before coming out.
The intestines of the now panicking Gryposuchus spill into the water as the Appalachiosaurus washes up on shore in front of a very young Suchomimus.
The juvenile fisher king looks at the dinosaur, certain it isn't an aquatic animal. Curious he touches the gasping dinosaur and flinches when it coughs water on his feet. He backs away slowly and then high tails it away, startled by the encounter.
The Appalachiosaurus hooks the Nothronychus when it floats by and leans down, grabs it in his jaws, then heads to his home upstream.
Later In The Night...
The Gryposuchus is lying in the shallow water, passed out as his blood and guts spill out and some small fish peck at them. His breaths are numbered.
As the clouds cover the moon he takes his last breath
GRYPOSUCHUS ELIMINATED
WINNER: APPALACHIOSAURUS

It was over all the most powerful animal in this brawl and the most durable dinosaur. Its jaws were also the most powerful and, after the other dinosaurs were taken care of, the gavial ultimately didn't have the right jaws for killing dinosaurs as big as itself.
